1. .... a cheap and broken one at that
2. I had to clean out the neck pocket on mine (over spary build up etc) to help with the alignment. Overall these basses do sound great but they could be finished a bit better regarding quality control, and I'm not talking about the soft roadworn finish!

4. Just bought a BT2 off Chris, good price, very quick and well packaged delivery and as described, trustworthy BC'er, Cheers
5. Mmm, I'd ultimately like to have 2 basses, a fretted and fretless but I own 5 at the moment! Wasn't really a P bass man until recently so I needed it's fretless partner, so those two have joined the fretted and fretless Jazzes. Somehow I also managed to acquire a Thumb NT 5 along the way, hopefully that'll go soon but it's been a bit of a merry go round with basses, and really only after I joined BC !!
6. Well for starters a good teacher will be able to pick up on improper technique, any bad habits you might have developed and hopefully see any gaps in your knowledge etc. Well that was my experience when I started to have lessons
7. Man, have a bump for a light P bass
8. Hi folks, Just bought a Badass II from Terry. Great communication and posted it using Special Delivery as well , Cheers Terry.
9. Yeah, thanks for you comment and there is always that possibility isn't there. I've got a BadAss II to potentially put on it, not too sure if it'll cover the holes that are there already. Also not too sure how the intonation is going to be with the saddles set that far back!! It's been collected from the seller for me but I get my mitts on it in a couple of weeks! I'll just take it all apart and see what I'm playing with
10. Hi folks, Just got a P bass off the net and it's come with this bridge , the bass has a Fender P late 70's fretless neck and the body is a P bass copy from a shop called Machinehead, I believe in the mid 80's. As far as I know the guy bought the bass from them already built up into a bitsa and has left it alone since, so I'm presuming the bridge is from this era as well. It also came with a Dimarzio (type anyhow) pickup! Any hints or clues would be greatly appreciated, Cheers
11.
That is one desirable piece of kit. . Love the pup layout. Problem is i dont have the money. Spirit is willing but the wallet is weak.
love it type bump
12. Hi there Tezza-j, If it's a factory grooved one in chrome/nickle (ie came off a Marcus Miller, Geddy Lee etc) for a jazz I'll have it please. However as above, photos would help
13. Mmm, maybe if the neck does resemble a banana then trying to get the truss rod out isn't going to happen very easily, hence the price!! If you could knock him down a bit more and then get is sorted it might work out ok, however I'm not doing it
14. Sorry, I meant a PM sent to David 1978 to answer questions and not clog up your for sale thread
15.
TBH the value is (as always) what someone will pay... I'd not give £800 for it but I would for a nice early one. I think saying that it is worth £600 more after a set-up is ludicrous and as has been pointed out if he is flagging up that it needs setting up, I'd want to know why it isn't done? Truss rod might be a concern (not as common as folks think) and it'll not have the easy remove truss rod but if it isn't an easy fix (again 'why' hasn't he done it) to set it up, you could be looking at a pig of a bass to resell... unless you moved it on and told the next potential owner it just needed a set-up!
+1, however in the last listing he had a photo of the back of the neck and there was no volute. Saying this am I right in thinking the truss rod should slip straight out on this design?
16. Just bought some pickups off Joe, good price, well packaged, sent quickly, great service, so I wouldn't hesitate to deal with again, Thanks a lot for the sale
17. Just bought the album the dude used it on, all for a good cause
18. If they're in good condition I'll have them please
19. Some Incognito is pretty decent stuff I think
20. How's the MM Marcus?
21. My tuppence worth ; from the photos I think it's a 2 band eq. Tell me if I'm wrong but the firs pots is volume (push pull active passive?), second pot balance and the last stacked pot bass/treble. The body is bubinga, but not the pommele version (it's more swirly) with bubinga stringers in the wenge neck, also with a wenge fret board. The truss rod is a removable one (no neck volute) and I'm guessing here but it's probably running at 9 V. Feel free to correct but it's similar to my 1999 NT 5.
22. Very nice looking bass you have there, bump
