Yeah, thanks for you comment and there is always that possibility isn't there. I've got a BadAss II to potentially put on it, not too sure if it'll cover the holes that are there already. Also not too sure how the intonation is going to be with the saddles set that far back!! It's been collected from the seller for me but I get my mitts on it in a couple of weeks! I'll just take it all apart and see what I'm playing with

Hi folks, Just got a P bass off the net and it's come with this bridge [attachment=134527:P bass bridge.jpg], the bass has a Fender P late 70's fretless neck and the body is a P bass copy from a shop called Machinehead, I believe in the mid 80's. As far as I know the guy bought the bass from them already built up into a bitsa and has left it alone since, so I'm presuming the bridge is from this era as well. It also came with a Dimarzio (type anyhow) pickup! Any hints or clues would be greatly appreciated, Cheers

Mmm, maybe if the neck does resemble a banana then trying to get the truss rod out isn't going to happen very easily, hence the price!! If you could knock him down a bit more and then get is sorted it might work out ok, however I'm not doing it

[/quote] +1, however in the last listing he had a photo of the back of the neck and there was no volute. Saying this am I right in thinking the truss rod should slip straight out on this design?

Hi folks, Well I bartered with Marcus for a fair few PM pages for his Nate Mendel P bass and we finally settled on a deal. He knew me better than I know myself lol and posted it in, quite rightly, a hardcase instead of a gig bag I'd asked for (I don't think it would have been insured in a gig bag anyhow so a good move to be honest). The bass, after a bit of tweaking is ace, I'm really made up by it so thank you Marcus for the sale. It was also packed up and posted very quickly with lots of foam bits used in the parcel , Cheers.
