1. That's sweet. What is the weight please ?
2. Bit on the heavy side for me , gutted :-(
3. Look forward to hearing what the weight is. Can you explain what the EQ controls are on this bass ? Cheers
4.
Pics don't work mate...
+1
5. That's a nice looking ACG. What's the weight ?
6. I may be interested in this. I tried out a friends older yamaha trb II six string. I liked it but it was pretty heavy. Do you know the weight of this one ?
7. I'll post some better photo's soon. Rushed these a bit.
8. Please note that this is very much a feeler still. I've just put a new set of DR High Beams, cleaned the fingerboard and bass. Feels and sounds amazing. I will only sell as a last resort to my financial peril. I love this bass...
9. Thanks for the heads up Clarky. Post edited ' filled '
10. I'll try and get some pic's up later today. Relax everybody ;-)
11. I know what you mean. I was shocked to see the fills. Every luthier that I've spoken to has informed me that it's nigh on impossible to find a piece of this burl without holes. Like I said, it does distract from a perfect bass, hence the price. No ramp at present although I'm waiting for one to be built. Will include it of course.
12.
at this sort of price point you really do need to show the bass..
......nothing wrong with a bit of fourplay
13. I love this bass and it's by far the best bass I've ever owned or played. Due to financial peril at present I may have to sell it Just wanna see if there is any interest at present. It's a Fodera Victor Wooten '83 Monarch Classic 4 string, Mahogany body / Burl top, Maple neck with rosewood fingerboard, EMG's and Mike Pope pre. Made in 2005. The neck and condition is superb. Was like new when I bought it two years ago and has been very well looked after. There are a few knots of wood on the burl top that have been filled and are noticable on close inspection. I would like to get these redone at some point. It's a minor thing but on a bass as perfect as this, I kind'a wanted to get them sorted. I cannot stress how amazing this bass plays and sounds. I'm not a rich person and had to go all out to buy it. I'm sure I'll regret selling it and everybody I know is advising me against selling it. They get more expensive every year so a great investment. £4,100. ( Was £4,300 ) I think this is a very fair price for a Fodera. Bassgear.co.uk have a pre-owned for £6,999 ! I'm firm on the price as I cannot justify letting this go for less. PM me if you are interested. Cheers. The offending filled bit ! My flash has made this look a hundred times worst than in the flesh. But at least it's not being hidden, for sure !
14. Bass Collection 4 string for sale. Think it's the 461 model. This is one of the original 90's model's. Not to be confused with the horrible new ones. Bought from ' Smash ' on this very site. Looking to get back what I payed for it. £275 plus postage. This is a lot of bass for the money. I've cleaned it up and has a set of DR's. Gutted I have to sell it but I'm skint and need to buy a new computer for rendering. Japanese sen body, padauk facing, ebony fingerboard, controls are volume / pickup pan / bass / treble. Very good condition apart from a slight bit of wear above the P pickup. There's a lot of buzz about these basses on Basschat here- http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=697&hl=Nanyo The camera has created some weird markings between the 2 pickups / between the E string. The wear above the P pickup As you can see from the pic's, a lot of bass for the £
15. Beautiful bass. Do you know the weight ? I tried out a Yamaha TRB II yesterday. Didn't find the 35in to be a problem but it was to heavy for me.
16. Any dents on the neck. I'll probably grab this for a spare. Surely worth the price for the pickup's and EQ alone ?
