1.
at this sort of price point you really do need to show the bass..
......nothing wrong with a bit of fourplay
2. I love this bass and it's by far the best bass I've ever owned or played. Due to financial peril at present I may have to sell it Just wanna see if there is any interest at present. It's a Fodera Victor Wooten '83 Monarch Classic 4 string, Mahogany body / Burl top, Maple neck with rosewood fingerboard, EMG's and Mike Pope pre. Made in 2005. The neck and condition is superb. Was like new when I bought it two years ago and has been very well looked after. There are a few knots of wood on the burl top that have been filled and are noticable on close inspection. I would like to get these redone at some point. It's a minor thing but on a bass as perfect as this, I kind'a wanted to get them sorted. I cannot stress how amazing this bass plays and sounds. I'm not a rich person and had to go all out to buy it. I'm sure I'll regret selling it and everybody I know is advising me against selling it. They get more expensive every year so a great investment. £4,100. ( Was £4,300 ) I think this is a very fair price for a Fodera. Bassgear.co.uk have a pre-owned for £6,999 ! I'm firm on the price as I cannot justify letting this go for less. PM me if you are interested. Cheers. The offending filled bit ! My flash has made this look a hundred times worst than in the flesh. But at least it's not being hidden, for sure !
3. Still for sale.
4. Bass Collection 4 string for sale. Think it's the 461 model. This is one of the original 90's model's. Not to be confused with the horrible new ones. Bought from ' Smash ' on this very site. Looking to get back what I payed for it. £275 plus postage. This is a lot of bass for the money. I've cleaned it up and has a set of DR's. Gutted I have to sell it but I'm skint and need to buy a new computer for rendering. Japanese sen body, padauk facing, ebony fingerboard, controls are volume / pickup pan / bass / treble. Very good condition apart from a slight bit of wear above the P pickup. There's a lot of buzz about these basses on Basschat here- http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=697&hl=Nanyo The camera has created some weird markings between the 2 pickups / between the E string. The wear above the P pickup As you can see from the pic's, a lot of bass for the £
5. I'm very tempted. Where are you based ?
6. OMG ! I would love this.
7. Beautiful bass. Do you know the weight ? I tried out a Yamaha TRB II yesterday. Didn't find the 35in to be a problem but it was to heavy for me.
8. Any dents on the neck. I'll probably grab this for a spare. Surely worth the price for the pickup's and EQ alone ?
9. Is it the green Wood and Tronics Chronos ???? It's moved to the sold section. Darn, I was gonna make a trip up there next week to check it out. Oh well
10. Wow. Never seen one with a wood top like this.
11. If that was natural I'd be all over it ! I'm seriously considering selling my Fodera so I can buy a W & T and probably have some cash left over. They are blowing my mind ! Wish I could demo a few of them. Would love a Chronos and a custom four of some kind.
12. 4.9kgs..... Phew, just saved me getting into debt. Good luck with the sale.
13. How much does this weigh ? I'm very tempted.
14. With a drummer - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pZH2-rTp8Ug I'm still shaking ! Gonna keep an eye on this kid. He's fearless, I think....
15. I would love this. Zon fretless on my wish list.
16. I hope lots of people read this thread ! I'm going with the Musicians Union insurance from now on.
17. 2 octave jazz bass, nice.... Good price.
18. Wow. Good heads up Urb. Astounding playing & his solo !! You're right, I know a lot of ' pro ' players that can't groove like this kid. The future is bright.
19. 35in or 34in scale ? TRB's now are 35in but the early ones were 34in , I think ?
20. I'm very interested in this. Any pictures.
21. Quick heads up regarding musical instrument insurance. Avoid E and L insurance. This is a personal opinion after my personal experience with this horrendous company. As you can see from the link, I'm not alone. http://www.reviewcentre.com/reviews57547.html 'Nuff said
22. Join the Musicians Union ?
