  1. @dannybuoy.......thanks for this......I'm starting to wander off down the rabbit hole of the Helix family now......
  2. Thanks for the input so far. That Tyler pedal looks really interesting...i fancy giving it a Whirl.... Not cheap though. I need to work out my routing as to achieve certain scenes I set them in a 'non standard' order. Delay first, wah last... Etc What's the real life benefit of splitting over blending? I blended reviiusly with an ls2 but it underwhelmed me. Clean with fuzz.
  3. As normal I've been thinking about my effects path and board. I use fuzz and distortion pretty much all the time and looking at utility pedals like the SFX X&M, wondered how many people use: A crossover on their board then full range to an amp A crossover and bi-amp set up I appreciate there's the addition of gear to achieve some of this (cabs an amps on the 'true' bi-amp approach) I guess I was interested in the pro's and cons vs a clean blend in the main. I fancy trying a crossover but my concern is the fixed point (even when variable) of a crossover on the limited pedals I've looked at (SFX, rolls) so once you get higher up the register, I assume all the signal goes through the higher level crossover, and would therefore go through my effects line..... Just interested in peoples experiences and anyone running a crossover at the moment, how you find it, what gear you use to achieve it, did you try a clean blend first etc etc.... Thanks
  4. Is there a way to control the level on the parallel blend on these units? Cheers!
  5. I havent seen any with flat right angles. Ernie ball do a set that might work, but if your board is anything like mine I suspect these will be a bit to jumbo..... https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B079G4ZFQX/ref=asc_df_B079G4ZFQX57047952/?tag=googshopuk-21&creative=22110&creativeASIN=B079G4ZFQX&linkCode=df0&hvadid=310868500241&hvpos=1o3&hvnetw=g&hvrand=7278770970135426654&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=1006638&hvtargid=pla-467210985315&th=1&psc=1 Not sure if Lava/ self build cable might be the better option? I havent experience with those though Best of luck
  6. Rewired it all... Again.... Pretty sure I'm set now for a while but there's a bit of me that still wants a touch more multi modulation options.... I never make it work in a band setting though so little point really other than gas. Anyway, added the ODB and pretty much maxing out my real estate now. Happy though... For the time
  7. Really sad news. Rest in peace dave.
  8. Good luck with this. I owned one recently and loved it. For anyone considering, the weight if the head doesn't actually feel it due to the handle placement and how solid they are. Recessed bars. As easy to shift imo as most 200w out there. Massively versatile tone as well and surprisinglt easy to engage or disengage aspects of the amp you want. Eg. Turn compressor on off, the graphic, the get channel.... You can go as simple or complex as you like. When this opens up, it's epic and there's nothing quite like standing in front of this much power pushing your tone. Very best of luck man, someone is gonna get a great rig.
  9. Thanks for that, I hadn't looked into his set up previously but recognise his tone is heavily shaped/baked as part of his demos. Interested to hear more on the x7 though, they've not yet released sonething that's managed to get me over the line to put one on my board... Not that that will worry them of course XD
  10. Well it'll be interesting to hear vs the existing darkglass sample even if you don't particularly enjoy his demos....constructive comment though.....
  11. I think excane has just sorted a demo... Hinted on fb anyway but not live on his channel. I always like his demos...
  12. Two gigs over the weekend, one of which was probably my (and the bands) biggest gig to date on the Saturday at Doom vs Stoner in Sheffield. Second stage, but the sound and monitoring was great and the Eden 610 on the backline thundered. Really impressed with it. Really engaged crowd as well which is pretty good for doom
  13. Sold a pedal to Stuart. Good comms prompt payment. Would happily sell again. Many thanks
  14. I'm in Hitchin Friday night and Sheffield on the Saturday. I'm happy to meet or drop in the locality between the two. Open to offers as well if you want to try me
  15. Sold a pedal to Al Krow. Top man, lovely transaction. Deal in absolute confidence. Many thanks, enjoy
  16. Bump - Gonna reduce this to £695 - I'm around the Bicester area on Tuesday. Up to Sheffield for a gig at the end of the month (Sat 29th) Thanks

Echohead £35 Palmer Di box £45 (boxed used twice - as new - 2 channel passive DI) Pedaltrain Mini £35 (Pic to follow) softcase with soft velcro on board All pedals have velcro on the underside. Drop me a line with any questions I'll get missing pics up in the next few days. Thanks Dod flanger SOLD Pedaltrain JR SOLD Idiotbox blowerbox SOLD Megalith SOLD Moog ep3 SOLD Meatbox SOLD
  18. That is a shame. Absolutely splendid resource for compression. I've visited and revisited the site so many times over the last few years since discovering. It reads as a real labour of love. Didn't realise there was bad feeling or experience around tc.
  19. Kinda got there with this now... Really pleased I invested in a switching unit and lost a few but does the job for my current project..... For the time being anyway....
  20. BAREFACED DUBSTER 2 - £795 - NOW £695 Due to changing up my board and tone a load the last 3-6 months, I don't have a need for this cab anymore and with an upcoming project I need to free up some cash..... Anyone who knows the current barefaced line will probably be familiar with the quality of the engineering. This is a pre-production model, 8 ohm with a textured finish and steel grill. Very light 118 cab. It's a sub or a bass cab, the full spec and details here: https://barefacedbass.com/product-range/Dubster-2.htm DIMENSIONS: 61cm x 61cm x 47cm WEIGHT: 21 kg BROADBAND SENSITIVITY98dB USABLE FREQUENCY Range 25Hz - 2kHz RECOMMENDED AMP Power 200-2400W MAXIMUM LF Output 135 Retails at £1,149 plus £60 postage. I'm looking for £795 £695 NOW. I can deliver locally (Bedford, Northampton, Milton Keynes area) but I dont want to post at the moment. I also get around a little gigging so happy to be asked about reasonable distance etc. Barely used and in outstanding condition. PM any questions. Thanks Additional Blurb: Description: It's small and light and can handle loads of power. It goes very, very low. It's actually a passive version of Barefaced's awe-inspiring LF1400 subwoofer, so you can use it as: 1. A standalone reggae/dub/dancehall/etc bass cab 2. A passive PA subwoofer 3. A bass cab bottom run full-range to add clean depth, weight, thump and punch to your rig without getting in the way of the tone of your top cab(s). 4. The bottom end of a biamp or triamp bass rig. Serious rigidity for maximum attack and pure bass tone. Reinforced corners and edges for touring toughness. Huge ports tuned to optimise depth, output and speed. Incredibly low weigh
  21. ... Not sure about threads but I'll add to this one anyway. Bought a pedal from dan, quick shipping, good comms and pedal came in original packaging and most excellent condition. Top man. Thanks
  22. Just acquired this ctm100 for smaller venues and home practice... Ibr ally like the tone on this
  23. Slightly updated with a mini moog and volume pedal. Pretty happy at the moment!
