  1. To me, these additions ramp it up to Cringe Factor 10😎
  2. I had a shiny black Pro version a while back - I thought it was pretty col - but maybe not for a wee fat middle aged man. I don't recall any great neck dive issues. Sold it to a young skinny rock dude & I'm sure they were very well suited. Anyway my nephew who I think is 16 or 17 just bought this ... pocket still safe?😌 i
  3. Yeah- none of these dodgy stickers😉
  4. I must admit I find any bass solo tiresome and self indulgent. Gerry used to to something similar on Bullfrog Blues.
  5. I've got one of these bad boys.. very under rated. Feels ,plays ,sounds and in my opinion looks great.
  6. That's good to know - I've wondered about it but had read some less than complimentary comments about it, including some from Rory's brother Donal who called it Riding Roughshod! I think there's an updated version that I might just be tempted to get Anyway ,Rory & Gerry along with the late Ted McKenna, were in my opinion , totally awesome.
  7. Yip.. I found these in a wee box that I've got various bits and bobs in. The Sound City 4x12 was £65 about the same time ..
  8. Looks like it was USA made and cost me £100 in February 1982.. just after my 18th birthday
  9. Here you go... in my Mun & Dad's "Front Room" They didn't seem to mind a Sound City 4x12 & a Hiwatt Amp on proud display I got the Mustang fairly cheap as the local music shop in Falkirk was fire/flood damaged
  10. I had a black/black/maple .. many, many years ago I think it may have been made in USA - I'll try and post a pic.
  11. No Sir.. I think you'll find you are . Candy Apple Red --- Yukk!
  12. I voted Red but only if it's Fiesta Red... with a maple neck and white scratchplate I think I've already changed my mind 3 or 4 times ...
  13. Agreed. So did the Radio2 news reallyneed to play a bit of Snooker Loopy? Ain't No Pleasing You would've been more appropriate. Ithink Chas was very proud of that one.RIP
  14. Thanks - converted barns are so hot right now!😊 Good news about the cake - result🍰
  15. Look like a good venue - where was it if you don't mind saying? It looks familiar. Nice looking cake too!
  16. Wow😮 thanks.Ive never heard of them. I'll defo check these babies out. Much cheapness!
  17. Thanks I was thinking about them. I'll check them out. Might be worth pushing the boat out a bit😊 I think I need 3or4 sets though.
  18. I'm really enjoying this I'm really hating this I can't remember what I'm meant to be playing Looks like the audience are loving this🖒 Why are the audience leaving? I should've gone for a pee earlier What time will I get home? I can't hear much apart from me and the drummer. Any more?
  19. I'm looking out for some cheapo but half decent strings - nothing fancy just roundwounds. I've used Legacy strings years ago and I think they were ok. I also seem to remember using Status ones too & they were pretty good. Anyone got any views/experience in recent times? Cheers
  20. A bit tenuous but I work bedside 2 fellas ( a bit older than me) who are proud to be on the Quo live at the Glasgow Apollo album from 1976 - they got badges and everything!
  21. I've got the 2 pickup version... Mine is white... I haven't made any changes to mine and the 32" scale is a pretty good half -way house between full and short scale. I think it sounds great with both pickups on full pelt. The bass is really solid and the neck is really to my liking, smallish and fattish, and has a great feel to it. I haven't really used it that much but I do like it a lot.
