1. Hi There, Here I'm selling my 'old' Ipod i baught new in 2009, 5th gen without the camera (perhaps the better version). The Ipod itself is part of the (PRODUCT)RED[sup]TM[/sup] range Apple have started to support. I am familiar with this organisation as i have played a few charity gigs to raise & donate money to help fight HIV/AIDs in Africa and donated ocassionally when i've had the funds, so therefore i will donate 50% of whatever i get for this to them. The condition is alright, slight scratches here and there with it being a matte finish but nothing seriously worn or broke. Comes with all songs i've loaded onto it (2GB worth, almost £200), a spare set of headphones and a USB lead. If you would like to read up on this product or more from Apple, i will include a direct link below and another for the "Global Fund" itself and checkout some cool stuff they offer and possibly donate some of your time and money to them, being the kind people you are. --->Apple Site: (Product)Red[sup]TM[/sup]<--- --->(PRODUCT)RED[sup]TM[/sup]<--- Postage will be funded by purchaser UK only, collection from either TF1 or CH62 area is available. Thank you and i hope this item appeals to you. Grae Skye aka Bigsmokebass EDIT: STRICTLY no trades as would defeat object of fundraising and would prefer offers to be around the asking price so more is donated to the charity. IF the item goes for £100 or more, i will donate 75% and throw in an itunes gift card with FREE P&P as your way of donating to the charity also.
2. You got a nice amp there, same as in my pic ;] =] Thing is, i got mine for £500 with matching cab from ebay by pure chance as no-one tends to look out for these beauties no more + theres only so many you can have or I'd have it haha. I've seen the heads alone on ebay for £750 and just not shifting. I think if you were to go and sell, i'd personally aim for £600>, you got an honest price for you/ your dad and the buyer. edit: try posting on a marshall amp site as there may be more of a following for these there.
3. i think you have enough nice equipment as it is ^_^ don't catch the G.A.S
4. Welcome Gordon, Hope you enjoy the site =]
5. My Marshall can pack a mean punch ;] but agreed, ampeg tend to be the "thing" for all rock and metal these days. Hartke anyone????
6. i think you cant go wrong with a musicman stingray5 and its something you like stock or can mod easily. also, you buy them cheaper today than any other year and IMO the price will slowly rise up, being a sound investment for years to come.
7. VM by far and now an extended range =] i think if you baught one, you wouldnt regret it.
8. From what ive read, the Eastwood's arent so great as they appear but unfortunately i cant remember the forum/site i found that on. Gretsch maybe? Tried and tested the Epi Cassady, love it but medium scale, solid body your thing?
9. Although a streamer, i have a bass GAS on the PNUT sig III. Like machinehead, greatest warwick shape with great feats and sits perfectly in your lap/ to your body. Bad Warwick? erm..... 1st series of Rockbass maybe?
10.
looks lovely...... what's the volume like ? Is it more for Home practice ? or would it cope with Small gig / rehearsal ? Regards Mark
I played the 350w versions as i REALLY wanted to splash out on one, i personally thought they would cope well with small - med venues due to the size and power of these beasts and the music i played but i think the 150 ver is ideal for a loud jam at home or a moderate gig at a small venue. possibly more so ideal for an acoustic set??? lovely warm, smooth sounding, classic vibe amps with a modern aproach and i dig the use of a 5 string, active bass with it too and no problems . . . if i had the £400 odd pounds, this would be the first thing i baught!! put it that way although it isnt fault with the amp, more so the user, i will advise anyone with one of these to not push all the dials all the wat up as i have seen 3-4 took in for repairs, locally and cost a pretty penny due to "vintage" and uniqueness of the product. So do treat with care unless your made of money!!!
11. for me, i took 2. at the time i played 5 strings so i had my main and a spare. once i start touring i aim to take 3.... 1x 4 string (with d-tuner) and 2x 5 strings. . . just the way i roll.
12. Baught new: Ibanez SRX355, horrible horrible bass that put me off Ibanez for a life time. admittadly, and hence "baught new" is because i soon turned it into a fretless project and made perhaps the best fretless ive played.
13. Fenders and Ernie Balls make great 5 strings and hardly ever over £1K. Stingray 5's tend to go for about £750 and most Fenders for equal or less. Boutiques are always lovely and ever nicer when a good deal but i cant say ive seen many UNDER £1k. Best of luck, BSB
14. haha trade you a Boss SYB5 ped and money your way oj condition isnt too bad for my liking, able to collect but the only problem is im crap at saving money >_<
15. i know, i've had this on for a while now and it is sad, really sad considering both yours and mine are actually great pedals: especially in comparrision to multi fx synth sounds. did you manage to sell yours in the end? i would like one myself, I love the EHX sound and build quality for mass prod.
16. aaaaaannnnd back to £100 after 2 weeks or so. will throw in 2 FREE patch cables and new battery saving you a few more ££££
17. That's fine, i wasnt being impatient, just letting you know that i did PM incase anyone got there first haha It's a shame you wont do that technique, it'd be more my risk at the end of the day but i know you probably want to shift it now instead. Worse comes to worse you know where to find me but good luck all the same and have a free BUMP! ciao
18. unwanted birthday gift? though scouse myself and would love to steal this from you.... i'd stay well away or we'd see you at new brighton and i dont mean sun bathing =/
