1. I bought an amp from Andy and could tell from the first phone conversation that he was a genuine guy. He took the trouble to meet me half way for the handover and was good enough to give me a flight case to put it in. I would recommend him unreservedly as someone to trade with on this forum.
2. 'Wild things run fast' is one of the albums in my collection that I never tire of. The opening track 'Chinese cafe/unchained melody' is amazing and the Carole that she names in the first verse is, in fact, her friend Carole Bayer Sager. Just listen to Larry Klein's bass playing: http://youtu.be/7G333adJxbM
3. SOLD PENDING
4. I thought I'd have a go with flatwounds on my Stingray. Bought these strings, ran them for maybe 2 hours, and decided they are not for me. Gone back to nickels. They will only fit a MM three and one tuner set-up obviously. It's the 45-100 set. £5 to cover p&p and someone else can have a try. SOLD
5. I bought this new just two weeks ago on impulse (know the feeling?). It's had a couple hours of use and is now back in the box. I have come to the conclusion (again) that bass to amp is the way for me, with no added gismos in the chain. I don't even use an in-line tuner! Here's the link to where I purchased from: http://www.bassgear....ass-compressor/ I paid £225 inc postage (my receipt will be included for reference). First PM offering £175 will get it (postage paid). SOLD PENDING
6. Here's the extended video: http://youtu.be/FcPS8b6qnpo The Crimson file is a decent bit of kit I have to say. I even invested in some jeweler's rouge and some felt pads for my dremel - worked a treat but you need to wear overalls or and old coat.
7. I bought one of these: http://crimsonguitar...-levelling-file He does a much more detailed video of how to file and polish frets, but I cannot find it. In the meantime, here is a brief description of the file. I spent an afternoon on my Tanglewater and had astonishing results. It turned an ok bass into one with an action as low as any bass I have ever played (at any price):
8. Stumbled across this video a few days ago, really well explained and easy to follow. Worked like a charm on my Stingray: http://youtu.be/yTo9SBsvrUI

Feedback for Harry

Just bought a Markbass cab from Harry. Made a reasonable offer. Offer accepted. P&P no problem. Had the cab delivered by the end of the same week, in immaculate condition (as described) and I have to say it was very well packed too. All in all a very satisfactory transaction and I recommend this [s]ebayer [/s] basschatter without hesitation.
10. Some time back I spotted a bass in the secondhand section which I thought had my name on it - £1500 was the price. I actually had my credit card out and in my hand when I telephoned but, after a brief and somewhat offhand discussion from the 'other end', I was astonished to find myself rather abruptly cut off. Now I know it was not me who ended the call and, let's face it, it's easy to phone someone back by dialling 1471, so after sitting there for a minute and thinking about it I put my card back in my wallet and that was the end of it.
11. I have highlighted this girl before, but her latest vid underlines just how good she is. Bear in mind that she has been playing bass for three years and this is her first go at fretless!!! It also demonstrates the brilliance of the original bass line, don't you think? Enjoy... http://youtu.be/HnnewhuLuj8
12. Oh yes!!!! http://youtu.be/YtYsw_TQ7cs
13. Here's another one from Spain. Bear in mind that she has only been playing bass since 2010!!! In fact, she could qualify for the 'Funk and Groove' thread I believe. What a talent: http://youtu.be/u_AI2v-4DTs
14. I had the pleasure of meeting Alex a while back when he came over with his basses for a couple of hours. I have played the Jaydee and it definitely has that typical Jaydee barp that I, for one, love. I would like to vouch for Alex, too, as a fine bass player and someone who I would be more than happy to deal with. Will.
15. Spoke to Oli at some length about this last night and, although I have never met him nor spoken to him before, soon got the impression that he is very straight and most knowledgeable about Sandberg basses in particular. If there is anyone out there dithering, they need to get on and secure this now!
16. I have played this bass and it has the lowest action of any bass I have played in the last 25 years. Martyn is also as straight as, so whoever does the deal on this one need have no worries.
17. Just completed a very satisfactory transaction with Andy, and would be very happy and confident to deal with him again any time.
18. These really are good basses and this is a bargain surely. If I had the money I wouldn't hesitate.
19. Here's a blast from the past http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MxijgJWdFWY
20. This is good value. Mansons have a similar age 2 pickup version for a lot more: http://www.mansons.co.uk/shopping/categori...ie-bass-guitar/
21. This is infectious - simple but oh so effective bass line: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FA0QPIj3G6c...B3D&index=3
22. This is boxed and as new. Details can be found here: http://www.sadowsky.com/accessories/preamp.html It is a super bit of kit, but not something I use. £ 130.00 delivered (UK)
23.
MB1. A price! may help your sale!
Good point and I have asked my friend....£325 is the asking
