All sorted now, thanks guys. I'm depping the gig to ... myself ... because the remaining band members won't let me out and I have totally ballsed up the logistics wrt van driving and insurance Needless to say I'm not very popular with a few people now... But good to know so many of you know the songs! Cheers
2.
Looking immensely forward to your review when you get your S12. Just ordered a Super 12T today, and the Streamliner is on the shortlist if I replace my MB200.
S12T and an MB200? Amazing little rig, will punch well above its (minuscule) weight.
3. Sorry I missed it Life stuff got in the way...

This is a bit of a bind. I have a gig booked with my function band - www.bitd.co.uk - on Saturday 20th October. But I also have a wedding to go to which will lead to castration if I don't go. The gig is a charity function in Essex, but the band is already with a dep singer (ours has pleurisy!), a dep drummer (on another gig) and a dep soundman (er, f**k knows) so it would be a weird one. The drummer has done two gigs with us in the last four months, ditto the singer, but you will be totally green. Check the vibe from the website and drop me a PM if you're interested. I can get a set list over to you immediately to learn anything. Cash payment on the night, around £150 I think
6. Bump - photos later
7. VGC but has Velcro from being on my board. No PSU with it but still has its original box. £30 posted in the UK SOLD
8. Does the VT-1 compressor run on 9V or 12V?
9. Had a brief play with my new G30 today, very impressed so far with the sound (clearer than the AKG, very definitely) and the lovely array of status LEDs is great. Looking forward to using it in anger this weekend
10. I have an AKG bug (mine is not an illegal frequency, ref post 29) but have just bought a Line 6 G30 to give myself a bit more flexibility with respect to not being tied to a single channel and to avoid interference. Will report back when I get it, but I'm expecting an improvement in tone as the AKG does add a noticeable distortion to the tone if you A/B in a very quiet room.
11. Great bass, great price
12. RIP Geoff Sad news, especially with the band on your in the US at the mo.
13.
None of these 'tests' performed by any of the mags or experts are official tests. They are merely their way of attempting to gauge the watts. Which leads me to ignore them now. In the real world outside forums, the RH750 completely slays. So did the RH450. There are plenty of traditional amps that have also 'struggled' to hit their wattage. Eg: Mesa 400+ (ridiculously expensive, huge, and heavy) Ampeg SVT Pro 3 (not my cup of tea at all, and needs to be maxxed out on the gain and master to keep up with amps in the same category that are barely ticking over). Personally, I don't care about wattage. My Orange AD200b could smash down walls, but it depends what you want it for. I've given up on caring about the advantages and disadvantages of neo/ceramic class D/tube/SMPS, etc. Play what you like, for the right reasons. If it sound great and has good quality aftercare (eg like Genz) then stick with it.
All of this

15. Sounds like the same thing we had with the TC RH450 and 750
16.
Fusion sounds nice in the demos. Only £480 at thomann. How is the build in comp to the mb 200? My 200 is fine just does not feel that substantial.
Sorry, been away a few days. The build quality is fine, it's a fair but heavier than the 200 (but still ridiculously light!) so feels a bit more solid but I don't have a problem with it or the 200
17. Personally I found the 500 more "brittle" hence switching to the Fusion. Just my 2c of course. I might gig my 200 tonight, tiny little Wedding barn probably doesn't need the Fusion...
18.
In fact depending on how it is with my cabs I might get the bigger version.
That's what I did, tho I ended up swapping the MB500 for an MB Fusion The MB200 is an astonishingly good little amp IMO
19.
I am having serious difficulties preventing myself from buying a Super12T. I fear the next time I drink I will be unable to stop myself!
I can see no problem with this at all.
20. QUite interested in sound samples of the Subdecay... I'm new to exciting pedals y'see
21. Drool. Good luck with the sale, gorgeous bass and a good price, as already said just not a great seller's market
22.
it would be quite ammusing to watch someone playing a rickenbagger :-)
Haha, like it
23. One small correction to HJ's post, I believe the donation per entrant is £10, not £5
