Well at present it`s a diminutive Aguilar Tonehammer but the thought of an Ashdown ABM is rattling around in my head a fair bit.

That would be a pairing made in heaven methinks!
Be careful of people offering insight into anything other than the Gen 3 Super Compact (or other Gen 3 products) here. Previous gen Compacts used a standard Eminence 15" driver vs the new custom Eminence 12" in the SC etc, and they had a slightly different design goal in mind. Hence to compare an experience with a Gen 2 Compact and equate it to a Gen 3 Super Compact will not be at all helpful

It's landed. I now need to book a rehearsal room for two hours to break it in... Just me, my gear and some ear plugs.

Glorious. Think I want that rig. Can I have the amp back please?

And while I'm having a rant the power section of the abm amp series (up until the new class d evo 4) is of bad design too!

Totally OT but the new EVO IV ABM is not class D, it's still Class A/B They have done some class D ABMs but they are all with the EVO III preamp as far as I know.

Silly that this is still here, beautiful bass (with a really comfortable neck might I add) for not much money at all!

Ditto. If I had any talent or maybe just the cash I probably would have had this before any of you chaps had a chance to even see it. But alas I have neither and that means this fantastic bass is going begging for an incredible price. Someone must be interested surely?
This is a weekend I have my son so will play it by ear, I've missed so many now I really want to come along but I can't see Theo enjoying it for more than ten minutes

A friend of mine near Bristol, if you want a cheapy acoustic to have knocking around at work or something
I've found the MB quite harsh in the upper mids vs the MB Fusion. The MB Fusion brings a warmth and a more versatile preamp (IMO) and is well worth the extra few pennies

IME the more 112's you use the better you sound.
[/quote]
Definitely. But it is possible to gig with just one if needed
I've happily gigged a single 1x12 with a loud rock band (one 4x12 and one 2x12 Guitar cab, drummer without a volume control...), albeit with PA support. It was a Baref***d Super Compact and it was superb. Others may disagree.

Here's a tip for the WT550. Don't sell yours. You will realise afterwards that it's a great amplifier - even if you do have too many amplifiers already!

I concur!
