This Trace Elliot ELF never ceases to amaze me!!!!
Merton replied to Mike Bungo's topic in Amps and Cabs
I used my Elf with BF Two10 on Friday and Saturday just gone. The amp was on from around 10am til 6pm each day, albeit only used for sound check and 5 sets within each of those times. It was in direct sunlight most of the time and didn’t break a sweat. Marvellous. Gain and Vol both around 50%, which sat perfectly in the mix, I’d set the gain a little lower than usual to make sure I wasn’t pushing the preamp into its overdriven section when I got carried away 🤓 -

Two days at Epsom Derby, this wonderful set up didn’t miss a beat, unlike the plonker playing the bass 😀- 466 replies

Owned a lot of amps through the years and the ones which stick in my memory are: Eden WT550 Ashdown CTM100 Trace Elliot TE-1200 The Trace is just a superb platform for putting whatever you want through it and it always sounds incredible, effortlessly powerful and looks cool. I haven’t had any amp GAS since getting it. Which is mad because normally I want something new every three weeks 😅

Just been sent a link to a video of one of our songs from Friday’s Buckle and Boots set

Up for sale my ~2002/2008/2023 ABM 500 EVO. Why the three dates? First built in 2002 using a power amp from 1999, it managed just about 21 years exactly before the power amp MOSFETs decided they’d had enough. So it has recently been into Ashdown for open heart surgery and now sports an NOS EVO II bipolar transistor power amp from 2008 and brand new fans. Plus it had a general health check and clean up of course. I’m looking for £250 ono delivered to mainland UK. Comes with mains lead, amps are fuses and the Ashdown slip cover. Collection £25 cheaper. Possibly stupid timing for the ad as I’m not around from Tuesday 30th May til Sunday 4th June, but wanted to get it out there sooner rather than later

…or you lack any hair at all 🤓 I found a wicked Stetson on Friday at Buckle and Boots, even the missus said it looked good. I was all set to buy it to wear onstage that night, then saw the price tag and wept a little 🤣

I wish you luck with it, it’s a wicked little festival!

Cheers! I’ve only been in the band since December last year, so not on any recordings yet. There is an album in the bag ready to be released, but we’re talking of doing an EP or something if new songs as well.

Awesome. Just played the main stage at Buckle and Boots festival near Manchester. Wicked fun, great feedback from the crowd. Can’t wait to see some of the photos and footage! www.katyhurt.com

Surplus to requirements, should have sold years ago! Bought in around 2008 for a 19” Nemesis head, then became a box to cart around leads, then stopped being used. Not quite wide enough for my TE1200 and HX effects to be happy bedfellows so may as well go to a good home. Internal dims 455 x 365 x ~95mm (height slightly variable thanks to the foam padding) Price is collected from Horley, Surrey (or meet somewhere sensible - I’m heading to Warwick on Sunday and Manchester next weekend, for example). I can probably nick some packaging from work to ship but not sure on costs due to volume.

Take care @Dood - we are here to support however you need it 🫂

Absolutely agree. I say overkill because of our drummist was a bit less heavy handed we’d all be able to use less on stage and not need ear protection -

Overkill for a pub 😃 -
Thought I’d ordered short scale. Turns out I ordered long scale. I don’t have any long scale basses so figured maybe someone else would appreciate these more: Platinum range nickel plated steel, hex core 40/60/80/100/125 Brand new unopened Price includes mainland UK postage Save the best part of a tenner and the two week wait!

To catch all those up who need it (which I hope is ok?) - our wonderful friend @Dood put a message on Facebook that he’s thinking the unthinkable due to the current state of affairs and his monetary situation. His Shuker 7 string is synonymous with him, was entirely conceived by him and built to his specs by Mr Shuker. It’s a true one off for a one-off lovely guy. I for one am happy to help out a brother in need.

Stuart just bought a bass from me - I cannot praise him enough. Excellent comms, swift payment, patient with me procrastinating for several months… a great chap 🙂

I’m sure we can find a Six10 somewhere down here just to *really* fosters them off 😀

Sorry about the drama llamas’ early visit! At least the gig was good 😎

Going to Southampton on Sunday to see Florence Black and The Hot Damn! with MiniMert 🤘🏻

Thanks Graham, great to see you too! I’d taken almost all the bass out of the rig by the time we played but being in the corner like that will have been giving me quite a decent acoustics boost - not my finest hour of knob twiddling it seems 😅 Pick sound was pretty good onstage too. Much to learn!
