    Yup! Also meant I wasn’t getting home at 1.30am and unloading in the pouring rain before a long drive to Cornwall today. Every cloud 😃

    Tonight’s gig was awesome, and remarkably quiet. Got about 5 mins into my 25 min drive, then got a WhatsApp from the drummer - who was already at the venue - saying “stand down, they haven’t got the booking in their diary” FFS. So I turned around and went to the pub with the guitarist (also my bro in law).

    Absolutely right - we don’t normally get so silly, honest guv’. When I were a young’un I used to think ridiculously loud was the only way but it’s really nice to play in bands who can control the volume. Much better clarity on stage and an happier performance all round.

    Pretty much. A few dates I can’t do (like the one Matt forgot to tell me about tonight 🤣) but will be filling bass shoes for most of them. Shame you can’t commit at the mo; in my opinion if you ever want to come back it’s your gig first and foremost 😎

    Fun gig in East Grinstead and a lovely outing for my glorious ACG Finn 5 which I keep mulling over selling then taking to a gig and going “fxxk me this is great”. Usual story with Matt starting off with good intentions following the set list only to get distracted and wander off playing songs either I or the guitarist didn’t know 😆 But we busked it and it seems no-one noticed or cared. Until the bar staff had to come and tell us to shut up at 11.30 because we should have stopped at 11…. Knackered 🤣 Edit for a pic:

    Is it wrong to be proud of the fact I made my drummer physically sick with the high SPL of my Trace Elliot TE1200 + Barefaced Super Twin rig? 😲

      Nope. Be very proud. Simply nudge the volume down slightly whilst giving the drummer your best "not regretting that in the slightest" smug smile.

    I have used one, with a Trace Elliot Elf, in a loud rock covers band and no PA support. It did a sterling job!

    Well despite Fair Deal Music in Birmingham having pretty much the exact spec Sandberg Lionel I would want I am still in. I plan on remaining “in” too…. We’ll see 😅

    Furyon’s debut album Gravitas. Far superior to their second and last album. Produced by Rick Beato. Huuuge sounding. Before that I was on the new Florence Black album, Bed Of Nails, which is mighty. Not sure if the neighbours agree, but.. 🤷🏼‍♂️

    If I hadn’t bought a Super Twin just before Christmas I’d be all over this, such a bargain!

    Currently clean but having a massive wobble, over either a Sandberg Lionel or commissioning another ACG. Aiming to stay the course, don’t hold yer breath though 😂

    These are great fun. Still haven’t worked out how to emulate it with my HX Effects (possibly becuase I’m a luddite, or possibly because you can’t easily!)
