1. Remember all those guitars that were stolen during the riots...
2. They are cool things, in fact they have some really nice basses in there atm, a pre EB ray and a couple of J's and P's. But as soon as I saw the VI I thought I had better remember to post it on here as someone might be after one!
3. Without bringing the argument up again I still think 100% of the amplified tone comes from the pickups/pots and that the body wood does nothing. I would have no qualms making one but would want new p/ups and electronics.
4. Hey guys, Quick heads up as these are rare old beasts, was in bath for my honeymoon last weekend and managed to get 10 mins to potter around Vintage and Rare, they have one of these upstairs in quite nice nick, price on enquiry (and I didnt enquire!) Might be worth giving them a bell if anyone fancies a piece of bass rariety!
5. Amazing bass, silly price. Someone rip his arm off?
6. Indeed it is, great price and a great guitar, gave it a run through my brothers Hot Rod yesterday afternoon after the faff that is changing Floyd strings, exactly the sound you expect from a Jackson, and such a playable neck (I am no guitarist let me tell you and even I found myself riffing on it) Love it, will send it to live with my brother for a while (he plays guitar) so he can get some recordings done.
7. Couldnt resist this in the local crack converters, first time I ever seen a lefty in there or a brand name which is desirable. Jap built, duncan pickups, mint condition, blacker than black and how much I hear you cry? 270 quid with the case! Bang, especially seeing as the wife paid! 8. Almost always when you see a cartoon or drawing of a guitar its left handed. I always wondered why
9. Changed it pretty quick, maybe guitard didnt know!
10. I would replace it, I dont think they are massively expensive.
11. I am no longer coming guys, gutted but the missus just lost her job and the petrol is an expense I cannot have. Gutted.
12.
Thing is, I don't think this is Ben's fault. He introduced a few new good things. I think it's Oysterhouse's fault, they seem to have infected all their magazines with norovirus. Have you seen Guitar Buyer since they took it over? A shadow of its former self. Athough with things like this, it's hard to lay your finger on tangible differences and explain why it's changed. And you have to examine yourself to see if it's your own attitude to musician's magazines that's changed too.
Guitar Buyer is no longer being printed.
13. Its not an ad, I just read it.
14. I think its impossible to have such a thread running and not fall foul of libel or falling out of date. The best way really would be when people have problems with venues is to make a thread I think.
15.
Joking aside, I really don't see smashing the venue up as particularly clever way of resolving the matter.........
Sometimes you just gotta go with your heart and smash.
16. I think they are only selling the brands they have permission to sell internationally.
17. To be completely honest its not a bad price for what it is. I played a raft of these new ones when Warwick got the first batch done and they were fantastic for the money. Only real problem is the lack of a curved body.
18.
Probably not as HMRC pick their conversion rate once a month or something daft. And it might not be what the bank rate is.
I think it is geared to allow for this, they spent a lot getting their worldwide business working and it takes a little while to calculate it when you go to checkout with an item.
19. The biggest players in the USA are now shipping to the UK. It would appear they are only shipping smaller brands to UK but their price at checkout even included VAT and duty so you dont need to worry, put in your credit card details and thats it all paid there and then. 20. This is a stupid bargain, I live in Gillingham as well..
21. If this falls through can i say dibs?
22. is the 115 for sale?
