be careful of the ones where the wheels fold in as well - they tend to do it when you're transporting stuff. I'm going to get myself a stair climber jobby for my 8x10" cos its a beast

I could tempted for trades for something interesting since most people are skint at this time of year. Possibly an Epiphone thunderbird or EB-3 or one of those bright green Dean basses.

I have just put my Trace V-type combo and series 6 1518 cab on Ebay due to an incoming Ashdown MAG 8x10" and Hartke LH500. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...=STRK:MESELX:IT http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...=STRK:MESELX:IT They are listed at less than what I would like for them in the hope that they generate a bidding war towards the end ( I can but hope ) but if anyone is interested in either or both, please PM me. This is providing that there are no bids on them as i wouldn't want to end an item where there are people bidding.

The drummer in my band teaches drums as well and he was telling me that they don't teach drums left handed anymore. I'm another lefty playing righty after I saw Mike Reid on saturday superstore. was 'playing' my brother's badminton racket left handed up until then. thought I was doing it wrong when I saw this so swapped to righty. Personally, i think I need more dexterity in my left hand when playing. something like Billy Jean in F# gets my left hand hurting but my right hand is fine

you need this for sale by me and full of valvey solid-state goodness. you could add the series 6 1518 cab that I am selling as well for even more of that lovely valve sound

Fender '51 re-issue - bridge and pick-up query
Delberthot replied to leemarc1970's topic in Accessories and Misc
These string through the body so you'd be looking for something like a Badass III, One of the new Fender jobbies, possibly the Gotoh 203 but I can;t remember off the top of my head. Wilkinson also do one tht looks similar but allows you to set the intonation on each string The Fender pickup is quite good. i used a quarter pounder on my Gold warmoth bass but the daddy is the Lollar one but that's quite expensive in the grand scheme of things but its very very good. I have a lollar in my split coil Pbass -
I've just bought an 8x10" cab and want to go for the rawk look

Does anyone know where I could get something like this: Looking for something like this to fit a standard 2u rack size bass head. I used to have an HA5500 with the sleeve round it but it fitted into it without rack ears. i would buy one of the Kustom ones but have no idea who would sell them and would like to be able to take the Kustom badge off it since I don;t have a Kustom amp

I'm still looking for amp ideas and thought I'd see if anyone had any first hand experience with one of these? http://www.jhs.co.uk/kustomgroove.html They certainly look the part

I've used an amp stand for years Means I can have it pointed right at my lugs and am able to point it away from my other band members so that its not too loud in their direction - although that's not going to be so easy now that i have an 8x10"

UK made Ashdown MAG600 Evo I, Hartke LH500 or Little Giant 1000?
Delberthot replied to Delberthot's topic in Amps and Cabs
Now that the details have been confirmed (i'd be surprised if they didn;t use the same components in the ABM range as well) I'm now trying to decide between 3 heads: The UK Made Ashdown Mag 600 The Chinese (?) made Little Giant 1000 The Hartke LH500 or should I save up a bit more and get: Orange Bass Terror Another Genz Shuttle 6.0 Gallien Krueger 700RB II -

UK made Ashdown MAG600 Evo I, Hartke LH500 or Little Giant 1000?
Delberthot replied to Delberthot's topic in Amps and Cabs
Received this first thing this morning
Morning Derek, Thanks for the email and a happy new year to you. We did indeed do an exclusive Ltd run of Evo 1 MAG 600H's a few months ago for Soundslive. At the time we had no stock of the Chinese made Evo 2 and so wanted to produce something to fill the gap whilst people were waiting. The head comprises of the same components you would find in a MAG 600 Evo 1 head but these were built, tested and covered at our new manufacturing facility in Maldon Essex. Hope this helps and of course one of these heads should pair up with your new 8x10 very nicely. All the best and any other queries or questions just ask. Regards, Lee Alexander Ashdown/Hayden/Zemaitis/Lodestone UK Sales Manager
-
I paid £67 for mine

UK made Ashdown MAG600 Evo I, Hartke LH500 or Little Giant 1000?
Delberthot replied to Delberthot's topic in Amps and Cabs
I do have a habit of changing gear often but I don't even have the 8x10" yet. Just bought it the other day so it won't ship until tomorrow at the very earliest, possibly tuesday. Purpleturtle on Ebay were doing a crazy deal of a mag 810 for £329 delivered and I've always wanted one while I'm still young enough to be able to lift it. I do have my Trace Elliot V-type combo on Ebay just now though with the intension of selling it to buy a new head. If it doesn't sell then I'm probably going to make myself a sleeve and take the amp out of the combo cos it sounds amazing but it would mean having a redundant combo box to store somewhere so I'd rather sell it. I've been using it with a series 6 Trace Elliot 1518 cab and am in two minds whether or not to sell that as well or keep it for really small gigs although both cabs have the same footprint.
