It will still be UPS that delivers it. Its normally only if you use someone like Royal Fail that it goes to the French equivelant

no and no I was guessing that SD would colour code all their pickup wires the same. I might be able to get a hold of a multimeter at some point but I've never used one before. where should I be holding the pointy stick things that come from it to and what am I checking for? You can tell I'm an expert on these kind of things

Some new guts for my Thunderbird.
Delberthot replied to Benplaysbass's topic in Repairs and Technical
I've got 500k CTS pots, a paper-in-oil cap and a Switchcraft Jack in mine but it was a tight squeeze. There's not a lot of room in there. The normal Epiphone Thunderbird is just wired up the same as a Jazz bass -
I was thinking that as well but I thought it would now be quieter but it isn't

That is it. Its exactly the same. As I said, I've used mine to support a big beast of a Behringer BA410 which is a mighty 45.4kg. Must be lined with lead or something. The stand has never let me down. Been chucked around as well.

I think most people on here use Roqsolid cos they're ace. I'll be receiving my 4th one tomorrow. Some have had good service some bad from Silverstone but I can;t recall a bad word being said against Roqsolid

I recently fitted a Seymour Duncan Stack for Single Coil pickup to my Warmoth. There's no actual wiring diagram on the site so I used the one for the Jazz Bass Stacks pickup. I soldered the red and white together and taped them with electrical tape, then off to the gig I went. I had quite a bit of hum that went away when I touched the strings, bridge, knobs etc so I knew it was a grounding issue. After quite a bit of looking around during the week and checking wiring I took the tape off the soldered together red and white wires and held them onto the volume pot and the hum went away so I've now got them soldered onto the pot and I am now hum free. I'm not sure if there was something wrong with the pickup that I needed to do that but when I put my thumb and index finger either end of the pickup, the hum returns then goes away when I take my fingers away. My EMG 35HZs are humbuckers with the 4 wires and I wired them up no problem but then again there are 2 of them on the Thunderbird so not sure if that makes a difference or not

Its a Giraffe one but last time I looked they had gone out of business. It folds up completely flat and I've had it a good few years now. Had everything from this at 15kg to 45kg 4x10"s on it

Insurance is only valid if the bass is in a hard case.

I would get in touch with Thomann to see if they could do you a 3 pin plug gratis before you go buying something as they are set up to cater for customers in the UK. My Gallien MB210 combo arrived from Soundslive this week with a 2 pin plug so a quick email and they had a 3 pin one out to me the next day.

This is my cab here and the driver in it makes it really good for dirty and slightly dirty amps. It was amazing with my Gallien head and I've used a Terror bass through several cabs so I think this would work very well. Plus I've used this cab as a monitor for small to medium sized gigs with no PA and its been great.

If you can get TI flats to work on that bridge then go for those. I had a standard fretless stingray and had a fantastic sound with those. I don't go for the nasally fretless tone and in all honesty my tone on a fretless sounds like me playing a fretted which is why I gave playing fretless. The 30th is a growly beast but calming the EQ down a bit and fitting TIs will mellow it out a bit

I love the wenge neck on mine. If it starts to get sticky or slow feeling, a quick rub along it with 000 grade steel wool and its nice and slippery again

One and only price drop for this rack to £54 delivered to UK mainland. I'm possibly going to be selling 2 2u rackbags shortly as well. £24.40 each new. About a year old. One of the toggle bits has come off one side of the zip but there are 2 zip pulls on each side so you can just use the other one. Will probably be looking for £35 delivered for both of them

Courier points system and courier issues
Delberthot replied to paul, the's topic in Amps and Cabs For Sale
Been using UPS through Interparcel and absolutely no issues whatsoever. effortless collection and tracking from start to finish. Initial Citylink through Parcel2Go - utter rubbish. Organised pickup on Sunday night for Monday collection. Courier came. i waited until later on and it was still showing as awaiting collection so I contacted Parcel2Go last night at 10:30pm as their live help is open until 11pm. No joy but I was informed that they'd emailed sh*ttylink and someone would get back to me as soon as I found anything out. Again at 9am this morning nothing so I contact them again kowing fine well how early couriers are open from. not a sausage. Tried again at 11:30 and again at 2pm. Same response again and again. Eventually I called sh*ttylink and was promised a call back. They eventually did call back saying the the driver arrived at the depot too late last night for the parcel to make it onto the truck heading south so it will go today and that they'd told Parcel2Go this who should've told me. As at 5.30pm this evening Parcel2Notgo still haven't told me jack despite telling me they'd let me know as soon as they heard anything -
Check out one of the MB combo threads on Talkbass. I'm pretty sure there are double bass guys on there using the MB112 and MB115. I checked out all of them before going for the MB210

I considered these cabs along with the Laney Nexus 1x15". On paper the Laney was the better cab in almost every way and I'm pretty sure that after using it for the past 9 months it is. Incidentally I have it for sale, purely cos I want a matching cab for my GK MB210
