1.
Ibanez should reissue them - i'd be after one if they did.
You missed a chance to get the real deal http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...ibanez+musician
2. Are you sure, the 1306 has 17 mm... I rather have the answer from the owner, unless you own one...
3. Javi bought my Ibanez Musician. It was a pleasure to deal with him; prompt payment! Javi is a completely reliable buddy. No worries with him.
4. I have a 475 and right now is my favorite bass. They are awesome basses and this one is very sexy. For that money (and even twice as much) I haven't seen other basses that can stand up to it. The neck profile is simply perfect for me. Bump on me buddy
5. String Spacing @ bridge? Neck Thickness @ nut and @ last fret? Thanks
6. Hi Fellow BassChaters, I'm selling this beauty because I'm a five strings player. You probably have hear this a million times but I really thought I would keep this one. I've decided to reduce my stock to only 2 bases. I'm not even giging, just studying, so no point in having basses parking on a room. This is a 1982 Ibanez Musician MC924 Dark Stain. It's 100% original and it's in a ridiculously good condition, more over considering that is a 28 year old bass. It comes with its OHSC that it's in good condition. You have probably seen these before but I doubt that you have seen one in such a good condition. Specs: Body: Ash Neck: 5 ply Maple Neck-Through. Scale: 34" String Spacing: 19 mm (@ the bridge) Pickups: Super P5 / Super J5 Preamp: Model EQ B. 9V 3 band EQ, active passive switch. Volume - Balance - Master Tone knobs. Tuners: Velve Tune B II. 24:1 ratio Fretboard: 24 frets Ebony fretboard with abalone inlays. Bridge: Accu Cast B High Mass. This is a totally versatile beast, from classic P's and J's sounds to more modern ones. The preamp is amazingly Hi-Fi. If you turn it on flat there is no audible difference. The Master tone works both in passive and active modes. Pups have super high output and hell of a tone. Minimum fret wear, low action and professionaly adjusted. Truss-rod fully funtional, neck is straight as an arrow. It's dressed with Elixirs 0.45-100.5. IMHO a 0.40 would suit it better. I've taken detailed photos of the only dings that it has. I'm asking £700 + Shipping Trades I'm interested in: Only fivers with wide string spacing. Minimum 18 mm. Preferably Maple fretboard. Lakland Skyline 5502, JO, DJ. Other modern classics like Valenties, Shuckers, KSDs, etc. Amps Heads: Genz Benz Shuttle 3.0, Mark Bass little heads, Tecamps, Ashdown little giant 350, etc. You've got the picture. I don't need more than 350W but it must be small. Priority is selling. Money going or coming case to case of course. The bass is in Madrid Spain so no duties to UK whatsoever, just regular shipping costs. Should be like £45 or so To the bone: Bigger and loads more pictures with all details: http://s562.photobucket.com/albums/ss65/oc...cian%20MC924DS/ Cheers
7. Is it wide neck, i.e. 20 mm string spacing @ bridge ? What shape does the neck has? Is it C shaped or those baseball bats that can be seen on some WW?
8. String Spacing @ bridge and nut ? How's that B string? Dead Notes?
9. So no trades at all. ...or you don't mind if we shoot you by PM?
10. If you have 3 bands on 4 regular knobs then there is no balance or no volume. Can you explain?
11. I have the same MC924 but mine was made in 1982, in a condition similar to your '81 though ;-) Mine is 100% original. Has the same bridge as your '81, volume, balance and tone knobs are of a lighter color. Everything else seems to be the same except that in your pictures, the poles of the pups seems to be regular slotted screws while mines have Allen type ones. They might be changed. I guess that it's not fair to compare tones between your 2 musicians since clearly the 81' is 100% original pups wise while the pups of the '83 seem modified or repaired. Here's yours Here you can see mine (but dark stained) in the '82 catalog with a better detail of the pups: They are so well constructed and they sound monumental. I've received compliments from both my luthier and my teacher.
12. Gorgeous! I would say that is a black ABM bridge though. Have a bump on me
13. Really good looking. What's the string spacing at the bridge?
14. Buenas bajisimo, You show up beauty after beauty  ! Have a bump on me! BTW: What is the string spacing at the bridge?
15. Those pictures even give me pain in my balls. Your bass hardly can be more good looking. Damn!
16. Improperly gorgeous. Seriously, these thingies should be shown only under the surveillance of an adult, preferably one with cash to share ;-)
17. That's what I call photos. Beautiful bass. Good luck with that sale!
18. Hi Pepone, Good to see you here too. BTW: You don't say "old", rather use "experimented" Saludos
19. Thanks guys for your welcome. It's actually me in the photo, when younger and more good looking. Class is still there though ;-) My gear is in my signature now. Cheers
20. Where are you based buddy? And, what type of trades are you interested in? I mean, can you narrow the possibilities a bit?
