  1. Thanks Rich, part of my rationalisation and downsize to 34” so I can utilise my ‘88 Thumb in a BEAD configuration.
  2. In my pursuit of owning “Twin basses” I’ve owned a few sets, now I’m regressing to 34” I was needing a 4 string 34”:unlined fretless to go with my fretted 4 string Thumb NT . What did I do, buy a lovely Fretless 5 string rendering the twin theory unworkable, and now you put this up... I’m fecked. Lovely bass would have suited me perfectly... but, I’m too far in the hole to even consider this. GLWTS
  3. Me too, they come up as Fretless sixers never seen a fiver.
  4. I keep looking at this Rich, I’m in a transitional move back to 34” scale, there’s so much going on and so little that I’m in a quandary about future playing. I think I’ll continue to drool until my Sandberg moves. GLWTS Rich.
  5. I now have a box for shipping, so no probs there. Roll up roll up try me with your part swaps, 50/50 or 60/40 depending on what’s offered, 34” 5 string fretted basses, Ibanez preferred 🤗 but Fender a possibility. Can safely meet up 50 miles or thereabouts or courier in box and/ or Hiscox (for an extra few beer tokens).
  6. This Not this Freq. Response: 40-19k Hz Great cabs, I’ve used the XS range in the past with great success. GLWTS
  7. Stop humming and hawing, buy it, you’ll never ever get it as inexpensive again!
  8. Phew, some Mojo there Chris, you’ve kept this one quiet! GLWTS
  9. I hate to be a pedant, but, the PF20T is 20 Watts it’s the PF50T that’s 50 of those there Watts. Just sayin’. But a Fab setup as a portaflex! 🤗
  10. Sounds like your using a Sub, that's some waft there my man.
  11. No longer a Feeler £1,295.00 ono, partial trades looked, 34” Fivers
  12. Just (yesterday) completed the swiftest Basschat deal ever with Nigel. In Items Wanted Nigel was looking for a HK 2x12 Cab, I offered my 2 x 112 Neo cabs, sent the snaps, Nigel he say yes, we are in business. That was Tuesday this week, prompt PayPal, arranged a meet early Wednesday. Met at 10:00 Junction 15a, all done and dusted within 15 minutes. No time for friendly chat, this COVID has totally fecked the face to face camaraderie we have🤔. Suffice to say, great guy to deal with, Sterling Basschatter. 10/10 IMO 🤗 Thanks Nigel
  13. Frank Nitti’s grandson
  14. That’s a nice looking bass 😎
  15. £1,200.00 This one: https://www.musik-produktiv.com/gb/sandberg-california-vm2-darkhawk-5-bkb.html Open pore blacky, superb in every way, I’m regressing to 34” scale, that, COVID, Malarky and my unplayed Thumb which I’m BEAD’ing. Snaps later today. Would consider an Ibanez SR705 fretted as a part chop or the SRSC805. Try me. Snaps as promised, this bass is unused since Feb 2020 and prior to that 4 times a month for the months I’d owned it, one of those uses being a GIG. It is immaculate, in first class condition, as new. Serial Number 31340 Strung with DR Black Beauties, its a really nice bass as good, if not better, than the Overwater Custom Jazz I had built some years ago. Its light, I can weigh it if needs be but all the info is below: Sandberg California VM2 Darkhawk 5 BKB Body Shape: Precision bass Body Material: Ash Technology: Solid Body Colour / Finish: Black Satin Neck construction: Bolt on neck Scale: Extra long scale Scale Length: 35" (889 mm) Neck: Maple Fretboard: Rosewood Frets: 22 Fretboard Inlays: Side Dots Strings: 5-string Pickup type: Humbucker Neck Pickup: Sandberg Black Label Bridge Pickup: Sandberg Black Label Electronics: 3 band Equaliser Controls: 1x Volume, Bass/Mid/High- Mid, 1x Blend Pickup Selector Switch: Blend Hardware: Pearl black Including: Gigbag Special Features: Darkglass Tone Capsule active preamp Country of Origin: Germany Thanks for looking. Blondie on the right of this bass is next on the block. She’s a 35” unlined fretless masterpiece, neck profile taken from my thumb but in a fiver configuration.
  16. Thanks, I’ve sussed out the GHS string set at £27.00, ill just try a spare B I have then go the tapered route. Ive got a bit more on my mind at the moment. https://www.dv247.com/en_GB/GBP/GHS-4ML-B-DYB-BEAD-Tuned-Bass-Boomers/art-BAS0009355-000
  17. Warwick’s seem to have good reputation on the low B.
  18. I’ll check that out thanks
  19. Simple approach that’s me
  20. The B will be replacing the E, ah, just sussed it, I’m removing the G 🤗 yes I can slacken the truss rod.
  21. Slack B, undue tension on the neck, I’m not a techie I would have just popped a string on and tried it🤫
