1. I've been catching this tune on the radio for weeks now & thinking it was Fleetwood Mac then I found this rooftop version - OK what's the bass? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H_Kw3_CEGSs
2. If I was near Sheffield - that's definitely worth a look
3.

You could stir yer custard with that & no-one would ever know

5. 2nd verse same as the 1st another super smooth deal with Simon, great basschatter to deal with. Cheerz, John
6.
Then would you try out some of my home-made pharmaceuticals? Young master discreet went all pale and threw up when I gave him some, but I'm sure you'll be just fine.
I'll try anything twice Just made my own version of 'Aurora'? sauce to go on a prawn sandwich Salad cream, Tomato sauce, Hot Chilli sauce, Lea Perrings, Hot Tabasco, Cayenne powder. Blend until pink then slap it on your prawns No fire extinguisher required just a pint of Vintage English Cider
7. Looks like another 1st class job from Uncle H. That's a damn fine looking pair now Nige Cheerz, John
8. Yep it's a 5 string
9.
A mate of mine (a very good drummer himself) put this clip up on Facebook with the comment "I've always said people should stop whining and get on with life. Dean Zimmer, you rule!" I couldn’t agree more – f**kin awesome…
What a great guy - I'd love to jam with him, shame he's in California. When I first saw him I thought it was the guy who bought a scooter from me last year, same physical limitation & that great attitude rock on.
10. I'd be wanting my money back for sure! That looks like a real bodge job by someone who hasn't got a clue how to - or he let his dog do it & he chewed it a bit
11. Just had a text book deal with Jim, he posted it straight away. all good exactly - as described. Great comms, great to deal with. Cheerz, John
12. Could be Status Hotwires http://www.status-graphite.com/status/frames/stringsinfo.html
13. Where does it say what it comes with? It might be just the bass as far as I can see?
14. Robin Bastards - isn't he the CEO? Edit: Another good reason not to sell my kits on ebay, not that I needed one!
15.
I though the AV Reissues had a different serial numbering. Reckon as all above, this is a US Standard. Add a tort pickguard, mmmmmm.
Yes they do - stamped on the neck plate beginning with V - - - - - -
16. Brilliant don't know how he finds the time
17. Yes I'd have a dozen of them at £260 a piece, American Std or '57 RI, but it ain't going to end there is it
18. Hi Paddy, Well enough here thanks - hope you & yours are too I messaged the seller a couple of days ago with my thoughts but no reply so far. I would have expected a response at least from an honest seller, but maybe that's just me. Yes I'd love a Sonic Blue but I like to know what I'm buying Cheerz, John
19.
Apart from a real '57 having reverse-turning tuners, aluminium pickguard, top-loading only bridge, never blue, maple neck........ it's exactly what a '57 looks like.
Exactly!
I guess the only rub is you can't zoom into the headstock photo to see whether it actually says "Made in US" or something else! Otherwise looks pretty convincing - and I guess the re-issues go for a lot less than the originals!
No zoom required - it's an N6- - - - - so in my book it's a USA made in '96 & looks just how a American Standard, (with a 50th anniversary badge) should look. The thing is being advertised as something it ain't, I'm pretty damn certain of that
20. Another super smooth deal with Gary, as always a diamond geezer & a pleasure to do business with Cheerz, John
21. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fender-USA-57-P-Bass-Re-Issue-Sonic-Blue-immaculate-w-hard-case-Boxer30-amp/181190464232?_trksid=p2045573.m2042&_trkparms=aid%3D111000%26algo%3DREC.CURRENT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D16547%26meid%3D374215873550062509%26pid%3D100033%26prg%3D7839%26rk%3D4%26rkt%3D4%26sd%3D290921091083%26 Looks like an American Standard to me?
22. A bungalow for me - I love it
23. It will fit - but you would have to drill 2 new holes for the extra screws at the 'front' of the bridge. Plenty others fit with the original 5 screws, the Gotohs are good but personally I would look for a standard 5 hole fitting. After fitting any new bridge your bass will need a complete setup, intonation & action particularly. Cheerz, John
24. Tom is a pleasure to deal with, I made him a custom control loom for a P-build, excellent comms & instant payment, no problems here Cheerz, John
25. A fine looking set of tools indeed!
