1.
Hercules are fine on Nitro; String Swing and Stagg ones are not.
Have they changed the rubber - I managed to damage a 52 Tele in one of their floor stands about 5 years back (another one with the Satatus that the hangers are useless for)!
2. Looking at the OP's sig it shouldn't be a problem at the moment for him, but word of warning, do not use any of these with instruments with a nitro cellulose finish as they react badly with each other (and the nito cellulose comes off worst)!
3. Bought a keyboard off Sy - pleasure (and good fun) dealing with him. Cheers, Mike
4.
Hi I am interested in this, would you be interested in an Epiphone Jack Cassidy by any chance? Cheers Carlos
Sorry Carlos, didn't put it in the bump message, but I am only looking for amplification. Cheers all the same, Mike
5. These are worth looking at: http://www.herculesstands.co.uk/products/85309
6.
Nice amp, I used to own one of these. Have a bump on me. By the way, how do you pronounce your user name?
Give you a clue - it comes with its own chequebook and pen
7. Now up for trades and to hell with the credit card bill!!
8. Bump for trades
9. Dunno about you Clarky but I can't move for all the tumbleweed around here Have a bump!!
10.
Class D amplifiers,
Noooo!! Not until someone designs an amp tech who can fix my Yamaha
11. Fiddler's Dram? I'll get me coat....
12. Just waiting for my GB75 neck to return from Mr Shuker where it has been having a new ebony fretless fingerboard fitted. Couldn't find anything else as good in a similar price bracket (and I've finally worked out the (IMO) OTT electronics)! Only thing I think I'd gas for now is a custom build or a GB95 (oh, and some decent amplification).
13. Bump for price reduction.

15. Ibanez will (probably) hold its price more than the Washburn when you want to move onwards and upwards.
16. Hi there, yes, the curved body rest (just one piece) is the part that is missing. Whereabouts in London? Should be OK. Thanks, Mike
17.
Classic Theres a few of those: Led Zeppelin's 'Since I've Been Loving You' - squeaking noise from a guitar pedal.
Was the bass drum pedal wasn't it?
18.
That candy apple orange and the candy apple red are just beautiful with the tort pick guard combo. I'd add sonic/daphne blue w/3 ply white and a maple board into the mix as well, probably seamfoam green also.
+1 for Seafoam Green
19.
no please explain the trumpet? did you have a hand in getting this dvd out?
Yes - worked for Eagle Rock for a number of years, worked on some great stuff (and some not so great stuff has to be said), this was one that only a couple of us really thought was great - there had been some pretty poor MG stuff released - not much better than bootlegs, so there was some hard persuading to be done but we got there in the end! My worst experience was having to turn down the last Ray Charles album as it was ruined by cheesey synth horns and his "people" didn't have the guts to tell him we wanted to put real brass on. Funny, when it eventually came out the Times review slated it for that very reason!
20. Glad you enjoyed it guys, took me a lot of persuading the American part of the company I was working for at the time that this was worth releasing on DVD and CD!! It did come out, as has a lot of great Montreux material since (including a great Weather Report show) on Eagle Rock (can plug them now I don't work for them anymore)! Own trumpet blowing over
21.
Sod the bass, anyone else spot the awesome wooden elephant?
Noooo!!! You're not supposed to mention the elephant in the room! Ridiculously undervalued basses therefore, great value for money!
22.
Great clip. That sounds totally live. Bernard could make any bass sound great.
Agreed, it is so refreshing to hear the track totally live like that, with just a little less glitz and polish than usual.
23. The other thing with 70's Fenders is that by now, all the really bad ones have probably gone and what we are left with is the best of, what frankly was, a poor period of their history.
24. Thinking (a while in the future, after recovering from the shock of my car's latest MOT) that I'll need to upgrade from the Hartke HA2500 that I bought in a hurry. Like the idea of valves, liked what I saw of Yorkville as it was a while back, shame there are no UK stockists but the Thomann price seems very tempting. Anyone use/used their stuff? Thanks, Mike
25.
Haha. tis a gorgeous bass...from what I can tell from the mobile phone pictures...
Not good enough to create a clone from then Wes
