1. New and boxed. Comes with the optional volume control. Details here Perfect for any four stringed acoustic instrument.
2. Can you feel the love? I can't believe the response to my original post. A few interested parties of course, but the number of PMs saying "WTF are you doing?!" has made me realise that getting rid of this bass would probably be something I'd regret for the rest of my days. So, with apologies to those who were interested in the bass, I think we'll end the feeler status here; please consider the bass withdrawn. Thanks to all Gareth
3.
never thought an all spalted body could look so good...
Which reminds me, the body has an american walnut core.
4.
Gareth.... WTF?!?!?!?!!!! Why would you consider letting this baby go? Everything OK?
Yes, not to worry I'm all okay. I am really not sure I want to sell, but given the lack of gigs and the amount of money tied up in this bass it at least makes sense to test the water. I'm not going to give it up cheaply.
5. Sorry for teasing you folks. Now withdrawn.
6.
I got made redundant for the third time in 12 months today so it seems like I'm probably going to be leaving the UK if I want to escape the shadow of job insecurity. Besides which I potentially face a rental bill for 6 months minimum term.
Sorry to hear that CK.
7. PM sent for the Schroeder.
8.
how loud is it??? can it compete with a loud drummer and enthusiastic guitarist? I like the look of it but need it to handle small/medium gigs!
Where are you located? You're welcome to come and try it out if you are anywhere near Hampshire?
9.
how loud is it??? can it compete with a loud drummer and enthusiastic guitarist? I like the look of it but need it to handle small/medium gigs!
Hard to say as I've only used it at one rehearsal against a drummer, keyboard player and two acoustic guitars going through the PA. It was plenty loud enough for that.
10. I want to buy the mini Schroeder that's for sale on here at the mo, so I need to shift this first. You can get all the details from the EA website. I've only had it since the beginning of January and it is totally mint and ungigged, and it also comes with the very groovy backpack that EA make for it, details of which can be found here. Cheers Gareth
11.
You've been beaten to it
Dagnabbit!
12. Hi Chris Can I have first dibs on the Wal when you decide to sell it? Cheers Gareth
13. And is it a new neck? If so, it may take a while to bed down.
14. And a visit to a chiro may help too. I saw one when I had restricted movement in my right arm and she freed it up very fast.
15.
hi Gareth - what gauge are they - are the the "Burner" nickel set?
Yep, those are the fellas. Mediums so 45-65-85-105-130 IIRC. Of interest?
16. Ken Smith tapercore nickel set of interest Gwil?
17.
Having recently fallen back in love with my Mesa 6x10, I figure I don't need 2 stupidly large cabinets...
I so wanted this a while back, when it was the 610 you were selling, but have moved on now... Best of luck with the sale. At that price it should fly out the door.
18. Nice bass Matt, my guess is that's an early 90s vintage. I had a 6 made around that time that was very similar in styling and appointments.
19. Try Elixirs. They're expensive but they last forever and are really fast with minimal finger noise.
20. I would recommend Ken Smith tapercores, they are most excellent strings.
21.

Great looker Spoombung, but that body looks non-standard ?
22. Oh wow, walnut and fretless, my favourite combination...
