1. Hi Eude I gave both a good run. I didn't try two of the Mi10s, but I plumped for the Mi12 in the end anyway as it was just bigger sounding and had a lovely smooth tweeter in it. The Mi10 sounded boxy to me, which I guess is unsurprising as it is not much bigger than a cardboard box anyway! There are two Mi12s for sale here on BC at the mo, so you could sort yourself pretty cheaply if you want to go that route. Cheers Gareth
 2. It's all there isn't it?
 3. I took delivery of a pair of Fender Tony Franklin basses from the US last week.
 4.
I'm really tempted to take this back. Oh Lord
Bring it home to papa Nick
 5.
Mmmmm, wondering what this would be like with a PF500??!!
I used it a few times with a Tonehammer 500 and it sounded great. It easily filled a large hall without PA support.
 6.
Any idea of price? The old dropheads were ridiculously expensive compared to just buying the head and cab separately!
No idea yet I think, but as these will be all-PRC made I would imagine significantly lower than the UK made LB Drophead combos.
 7.
It was the very same cab !!!
I know!
 8. Just sold a valve to Nik. Great communication all the way and I would happily deal with him again. He's a long-standing member of BC and a pillar of our community.
 9.
Would this work well with a CTM15?
Yes. I had the very same setup and it was a boss little rig!
 10.
I'd be interested in your settings on the TH500 for these vids if you can remember how you had it.
Hi Pete Good to hear from you! Gain: 11 Drive: 10 Bass: 11 Treble, Mid and Mid Freq all at noon Cheers Gareth
 11.
WRT the looks I'd be tempted to swap the necks. Surprising that the fretless is more weighty. Any idea why? Also... the sound of the fretless is darker and more sexy.. IMHO Is this down to the strings?

By the way, how did the white nylons turn out?
I am tempted to try swapping the necks as I agree the fretless would look great with that colour combination. Might even up the weight between the two as well. The white nylons are lovely strings. I've had black nylons on my Veillette since I got it and really grown to love their dark growl and low tension, so when the whites came out it was a no-brainer to try them.
 12.
Loving the orange one, beaut!
Yes, it looks orange in the picture and video but it's actually much more of a gold colour.
 13. I took delivery of a pair of Fender Tony Franklin basses from the US last week..... I must say I'm blown away by how good they are. The fit and finish is superb (the nitro finishes are beautiful), they were perfectly set up straight out of the box, both balance well, and they have three terrific tones on tap just at the flick of the pickup selector switch. The fretless is 9.5lbs and is now wearing La Bella white nylons, whereas the fretted is 8.75lbs and will soon have Lakland or La Bella flats, but at the moment it has the stock Fender roundwounds. Very, very happy And here's one of my mini video reviews....
 14. I've got some spare Rotosounds (the ones Bruce Foxton uses) if you fancy a couple just to try? They are "heavy", 1.1mm I think. No charge
 15. I've owned the Ashdown Spyder 550, LB30 and CTM100, and all are superb amps. I really liked the LB212, Klystron Classic and Mi12 cabs too. Customer Service is first class too, possibly the best I have ever had from a large-scale manufacturer.

 17. A chat with Joe White in Ash Vale would be a good place to start.
 18.
I don't think a strap would go in the pocket.
And there's the deal breaker.... What cheese was in your sarnie?
