1.
You will be outdoing Clarkey soon the way you are changing amps
No one could ever challenge Clarky for that title! Actually, I am keeping my Tonehammer 500. And this amp is now sold
2. Martin 80/20 Bronze set. .012-.054 Open box, but unused. £5 posted 1st class Recorded
3. Couple of questions about size and weight: Dims: 58 x 25 x 25cm Weight: 19kg
4.
I could only get links 1 and 4 to work. Is it just me?
Sorry guys, they are from a review in Germany. They load okay for me, but you can find them here.
5. Christmas discount (from now until midnight Boxing day) £750 collected from NE Hampshire, £765 with basic courier in the UK (fully insured adds another £15).
6. That's me (I've looked better!), and the 1 pu bass was mine. It actually sounded really good, although I can't for the life of me remember why it had the usual four knob setup!

8. Hello folks I've decided to sell this wonderful all-valve head. I've only had it for a short time, but to be honest it's just too much for my current gigging needs (I play in a band with acoustic guitars, mandolins and banjo, so rocking up with this is a bit of overkill!). All the detail is here. It's 19kg, so substantial but not stupid heavy. Condition is perfect apart from one small nick in the tolex on the front (easy repair with a dab of glue). It's just come back from Ashdown who gave it a clean bill of health. Currently carrying a set of stock JJ valves, it features an easy bias system so the owner can bias newly-fitted valves themselves. These are £1300 new in the UK, or you can buy from Thomann for £970. I bought it ex-demo from Germany, so am happy to pass on the good deal I got from there to the BC community, so it's a firm £785 collected from NE Hampshire, £800 with basic courier in the UK (fully insured adds another £15). Only trades I'd be interested in are for a nice P bass, or a Bergantino HD210. Happy Christmas all Gareth
9. 4.3kg, according to the original post
10.
Hey Garret I can get a new one for about £20 shipped, if your deal is better PM me please. Cheers Edit: found another shop close to me selling a new JJ 5751 for less than 20€ shipped so i ordered one.
Cool. Glad you got sorted.
11. Nice! What's the balance like on a strap?
12.
What are those 'things' on top and side of the cabinet?
They are the locks that allow you to flip the head over into the cab when you transport the unit.
13. Weight and balance please fella!
14. Very smooth sale of an amp to Andre. A pleasure to deal with.
15. Just played a 4 string single H in Cayanne Red at Wunjos. Very nice bass, really well put together, good powerful eq and the pickup has tons of presence. I am impressed. My only concern was that with such a short horn the basses will be consistently neck heavy, and this one was (but only marginally).
16.
Can you PM me about the JJ with price + shipping, please?
To be honest, I am not sure sending one valve plus shipping is worth your while. Is there nowhere you can source them more locally?
17.
I was thinking along those lines too. A 12 cabinet like an Ashdown Mibass 12 might be good.
I have a Mi12 and it isn't actually that small really. The Mi10 though, is diddy
18. Looks so cute and diddy (the bass)!!!!
19.
Is it too much trouble to ask you for the width of the 12AX7's Mullard and Sylvania so i can see if any would fit inside the metal sleeve of my alembic f1x? Also, could you describe the diference in output/timbre between both? Cheers
Hi there Mullards warm and rounded, and 20mm wdith. Sylvanias, still quite warm but more detailed, and just over 20mm width. If you want lower gain in your F1X you can also try the other valves I have I also have a modern JJ 5751. Cheers Gareth
20.
Any sound clips?
Stuck at home feeling sorry for myself after some dental work, so just recorded this on the Zoom Q3.
