1. The Richter Supreme straps are the best I have owned, and the only reason I am selling is to get a different Richter! Even though the leather is thick, it's super soft and caresses your shoulder. The Richter I is 6cm wide: Buffalo leather outer with sanded brown buffalo leather interior, even though the straps are 6mm thick they are incredibly soft and flexible. Made in Germany. The length is adjustable from 100 - 147 cm (39,4 - 57,9'') This strap is in excellent condition, only stopped from being mint by the use of straplocks. Richter I: £45 posted
2. Just picked this up from Old Horse Murphy, but it's too big for the storage space where I keep my basses! It's a great bag, and Nick kept it in superb condition, so it's £160 posted or £150 collected from NE Hampshire or Central London.
3. I had one for a while and it was a superb bass.
4. It's amazing how different people's experiences are... I gigged my LB30, in a Weller/Jam tribute band, with Ashdown 2x10 and 1x15 cabs and PA support in pubs and clubs for 18 months without any problem .
5. My new Tony Franklin fretless has come in a 9lb 8oz, so it feels substantial but is certainly not heavy. It balances well, which to me is just as important, if not more so, when talking P bass!
6. Are you willing to split? I'd be interested in the EX if so.
7. Just picked up Nick's mono double gig bag. A pleasure to finally meet him and conduct this smooth as silk transaction. I wouldn't hestiate to deal with him again. As a BC bonus he also let me borrow a spare scratchplate he had, so I could have one made - that's what I love about BC. Gareth
8. Just popped a set of these on my new Tony Franklin fretless. I've used the black nylon versions for ages, but the white ones are really nice too.
9.
I have almost always used Interparcel, Jake. Very user friendly quote page and competitively priced (you get several carrier and service level options). I have used them to send basses to Scandinavia, Italy, Belgium, Germany and France, always successfully
Same here. Usually opting for UPS of the couriers they use.
10. The Tony Franklin I have arriving tomorrow totalled 19.5% of the bass+shipping's declared value.
11. Sold a cab to Alan. An absolute pleasure to deal with and I wouldn't hesitate to tranasct with him again.
12. American Standard, yes, with either rosewood or maple board Standard, no.
13. Hi Nik Happy New Year to you too! Yes, this thread is getting a bit long now! I have the following 12AX7 (ECC83) available: 3 x Mullard white shield label. GB made. Two have the same date codes (I63-B5K1 - from 1965) @ £40 each 1x vintage Brimar @ £20.00 Cheers Gareth
14. I have an unused, still in box, set of these available if anyone is interested. £15 posted.
15. Lovely heads, these. Half tempted to sell my Tonehammer and buy this one!
16. The Bergantino NV115 gets a lot of love on Talkbass, but at 50lbs-odd it isn't lightweight by today's standards. Worth a try though?
17. Brand new 1 spot power supply for pedals, plus MC5 daisy chain. £23 posted in the UK.
18.
Just to confirm, I don't have crackly pots, it's just the amp sounds like crackly pots are being turned whilst it's warming up. With gain and master maxed, the noise it creates is unbearably loud, even with no bass plugged in. Hardly any with gain set to minimum though, which is where it sounds best. I may well pop back to the shop tomorrow to try their one out again!
Definitely doesn't sound right. Take it back.
