Hi, Do you still have It?
;)
Cheers-
@SpondonBassed my hair grew back ok. Trouble is, it grew in all the wrong places. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go and plait my toes.

NR/PAD (New Rehearsal / Practice Amp Day) incoming... the world's scruffiest TC BG250 combo.
-
I certainly will. I've been using a BG250 at a rehearsal studio and have been pleasantly surprised by it. I'm going to replace my current Behringer BX600 rehearsal amp with the TC, its main advantages being more power and less weight. The Behringer weighs an absolute ton for such a small box.
Good idea with the Hammerite. I've got a tin of silver, but I might see what else is out there.

It's not really as bad as I'm making it out to be... it's got a few nicks and lifts in the vinyl which is all easily sorted, the main area of scruffiness is the grille which has been sprayed with what I assume is a band logo... a bit of rattle can black should sort that out. I'll have to clean the badge up too.

Had one of those "Dad this is my new number" scam texts this morning. Rather than immediately delete it, I'm going to see how long I can keep them going. I asked "is that you Felicity?" and they said yes. Obvs I do not have a daughter named Felicity
So now I've invented Felicity's no-good bum of a husband Hugo, who keeps selling her iPhones to fund his gambling habit. Let's see if they take that bait too.

Are we allowed to discuss rickenbackers on this forum now? Ive seen a used vintage one but have a few concerns id like to run by someone more experienced than me

NWD (New Wireless Day) -- incoming Sennheiser G3. Ludicrous, ridiculous deal I couldn't walk away from.

Redundancy looms over me for the second time in three years
-
You have my sympathy too. I was binned last December (fabulous timing, just before Xmas
) after 17 years with the company and I'm still a bit bitter about it. Although I'm told that there are going to be more redundancies there, so maybe it was good that I was one of the first out of the door, but it's hard to spin it as a positive. I've managed to secure another job which I'm still waiting to start, although with a much smaller industry player and at a lower hourly rate. I'm sure there are many of us here who can give you a sympathetic been-there-too BC hug, but sadly that doesn't pay the bills.

Hi
I’m looking for collectors .
-
Hi Ally,
I'm sure I speak for everyone here when I say that if you need any help of any sort with curating or moving on Nick's vast and enviable collection, just ask. Nick was our beloved brother in bass, and we'll do all we can to assist you in what must be a painful task. Hope you and the family are bearing up ok.

To commit to buying a new bass, or not.
That is the question.

Missed the 5string Status neck that showed up at BassBros at the weekend 🤬Been after one for yonks, more so since I got the FrankenJazz with a Status 4 neck 😢

Incoming NAD. Exciting stuff

Deppin a posh gig at the Eden project, forgot about the 5hrs waiting around bit doing f’all. Suddenly the Dog & Duck hourly rate doesn’t feel too bad.

Ah well, there's a nice start to the week. Redundancy looms.

Come on Andertons, where's my Z7?

This month marks my 25th anniversary as a bass player. That's a long time.

NBD: New Book Day - Everyone Loves Me by Leland Sklar. Basically a coffee table book of colleagues and friends flipping him the finger since 2007.

I think I've reached that, "I've got all this stuff that isn't gonna ever get used" state. Projects that will never see the light of day.
Some of it is worth selling, some may as well see the bin.
I think I could do with a cathartic gear purge to clear the decks both physically and psychologically. -
Right here goes lads, I'm trying Elixirs
