**Shipping is not included** but I'm sure we can split the shipping to sweeten the deal Killer clean bass head with super flexible eq. This amp is an old school power house and can deliver 800w@4ohm or 1200w @2ohm This head is very similar to the Thunderfunk and can be run with the eq disengaged. I’ve been using it this way with my HXStomp and it pairs beautifully. The semi parametric eq is great and can yield some great tones. My current favourite is setting the treble at 3kHz then dialling the boost/cut right back. It seems to add a bump in upper mids - right in the sweet spot with just the nicest amount of top end! I’m having a gear cull so basically listing most things and I’ll hang onto the bits which are last to go. The 'fixed' bass and Treble are 50Hz and 10kHz and the semi-para has plenty of crossver for each of the three bands. I have been uing this head to really beef up the 112 I have for sale too - I can really dial in the perfect EQ for the cab, shaving off the sub lows on the semi-para and getting a good solid lows and mids. I’ve previously used the Fender MB1200 power amp which is the same power section in this head and it convinced me to seek out my two Fender head’s which both employ this same power section (the other head had the 600w version). You can debate class A/B or Class D but I can assure you this head wallops! I don’t think I’ve ever had the master over 11 o’clock on the dial! Bass Gallery currently have one for sale for £525.00. These amps were the top of the line pro touring heads. KEY FEATURES 800W at 4 ohms ; 1,200W at 2 ohms Speakon and 1/4" connectors Legible anodized silver faceplate Heavy-duty chrome handles 5-band EQ with 3-band semi-parametric EQ with on/off and gain control Room Balance control basically a Tilt EQ +-10dB crossover freq: 350Hz Enhance switch emphasizes highs and lows Variable compressor Balanced XLR output with pre/post EQ switch Ground lift and level control for line out Mute switch Tuner output Effects loop SPECIFICATIONS 800 PRO Bass Head 19"W x 3-1/2"H x 16"D Approx 14kg

Yeah that makes good sense. The stomp really does have some good flexibility. I did have a cab sim on a parallel path too so if I wanted to darken the sound I could just switch it in. Worked well.

You could add it in via the fx loop and then drop it in anywhere along the signal chain. I’ve been tweaking my board as I wanted to add a boost and toyed with the fx loop but settles on having it after the Stomp but before my amp but I’m quite likely using it in a different manner to how you wish to integrate the preamp. If you do try it via the fx loop remember to save the patch with the fx loop switch engaged so it’s always on when you switch to that patch!

Nate with another great demo and solid information too. Well explained section about the HPF. EQ points look decent - love a treble control that is in and about 2-4kHz

Thanks Rich 🙂 Yeah It's a wonderful wee unit and it stands on it's own as a very capable sounding cab. I might be taking it to my gig on Friday just to get it out even though there is a sub in the place and we'll likely be using IEM. I've rejigged my pedal board slightly so it'll be good to hear what it sounds like in a familiar room/on stage.

Sold It’s a compact, sturdy cab which has seen moderate use and comes with a fitted db Bass cover. If I could find another one of these used I might just keep it and sell my 212 but for now it’s up for grabs. I just prefer two of a specific cab over a single- in this case it’s 2x12’s over a 112 if stage size isn't an issue. However I do think that two of these cabs as a modular set up would be killer! Ideally I’d like to meet up and do a cash deal and I’m happy to drive a couple of hours any direction from Edinburgh. Most of my gigs are iem these days so two cabs isn’t really necessary as the other main venues we do which aren’t iem have back line provided. Spec's below along with links to a review and the db website. Please note the cab with the white internal baffle is only to show the speaker and port - it is not my cab and is simply for illustrative purposes. Specifications Impedance:8 Ohms Speaker: 1 x 12” FaitalPRO Bass Port: Front Tweeter: Piezo with attenuatorPower: 600 Inputs: 2 x Neutrik Speakon (parallel) Sensitivity: (1W/1m) 97 dB Frequency Range: 45 - 30,000 Hz Height: 45 cm - 17.72” Width: 37 cm - 14.57” Depth: 45 cm - 17.72” Weight: 17 kg - 37.48 lbs Thankfully my cab has the black internal baffle rather than the white! I’d love to hear someone set a compression pedal to ‘rip your face off’ mode! No I was meaning that in the context of how a drive pedal, much like any other, can be set to be subtle or OTT - chorus, comp, reverb etc.
-
Yeah I don’t think he’s going for a dead on cop of the tone- it a nice tone (but also needs extra pedals).

The Knife ‘Heartbeats’ tone in the EHX official demo is a great sound right at the end. The mono sounds like a fun pedal!
