9. Hey my band are doing an album launch on Saturday night at Electric Circus, Edinburgh. We're really excited for this show and have support from two really stand out Edinburgh bands in the form of acoustic/cello two piece The Jellyman's Daughter and indie goodness from The Deep Red Sky. It's £5 on the door and will run from 7-10pm! I'd love for you guys to come out and hear us so grab your buddies, c'mon down and enjoy the musical delights on offer. We're all heading out on the town after and you're all welcome to hang out and get drunk with us, talk music and gear and girls G

14. My band Titus Pullo are releasing our first album on Nov 23rd and as you can imagine we're pretty excited. We've got the tee-shirts and badges made, CD's pressed and posters on the go etc. I'm currently tracking down local and national podcast's which fit in with our style of music to try and get reviews/plays. Local press have been contacted and we might even get a wee write up in the 'For The Weekend' section so we've worked/are working hard to get the publicity wagon on the move! It's a photo shoot tomorrow for the final images/press pack and then rehearsal for the big event! I'd be keen to hear other people's tips and advice for album/music releases as we know that the launch gig is just the first step! The guys running our rehearsal room also double as a management company so we're gonna try and get our tunes distributed to a couple of the local music/new music DJ's they represent as another avenue. Here's a link to our work in progress web page which contains some video and audio for y'all to enjoy! http://realtituspullo.com/
15. It's my old '78 p bass which was used in the statue with Phil - the work was done in Belfast at the Guitar Emporium to make a mock up of his bass before bronzing!
16. This is round the corner from me but im on night shift
17. I read somewhere a good tip is to bring mouthwash and unscrew the head off the mic and give it a rinse with the mouthwash, dry off and replace. Pretty cheap option in relative terms and also use the mouth wash pre/post gig to ward off/kill germs from the mic. If you can't verify the mic is 'clean' at least you can protect yourself!

Still for sale - need to replace stolen gear type bump
19. I see it like this. If I were given a Mont Blanc fountain pen and a Bic Biro I'd still have the same crappy handwriting irrespective of which one I used. The colour and style of writing would be similar but you'd not really know one was written with a pen costing 60p and the other a £600. If you have nice handwriting it'll show through and likewise for a bass. You're gonna sound like you no matter what you play through - sure some basses can get clanky or rootsy but you're always gonna gravitate to your sound regardless. I know a new bass will offer some alternative home options but I know for me I dig the passive 'Fender' sounds but a little modern scoop never hurt anyone. Still can't plAt for toffee though........and my writing is awful too
20. It's times like these I wish my amp had been stolen
21. Ahh dude my old bass had reverse tuners so when going into a dropped d number I got completely lost as I'd naturally went to turn the tuning peg the way I was used to and couldn't figure out where the string was tuned -stumbled through on the d string once I got my bearings back. I felt like a complete muppet "Look at yer man can't even tune his bass" Otherwise not a bad gig!
22. a break the rules bump as this is on really soon - Just drop me a pm and your name will be on the list
23. My old p bass was mocked up to look like Phil's 70's P by a shop in Belfast, was then cast in bronze, and proudly forms part of the statue in Dublin. No sh*t!
