I quite fancy one of these...had a Linebacker for years which was a cracking little combo.
However I don't have the money, the space or the need unfortunately.
There is a list of luthiers in the wiki, some of whom post here. You gotta love the maple!

My neighbour gave me my first guitar when I was about five or six. A battered old acoustic. A week later my parents took it off me and gave it him back because it was too noisy.
Luckily for them they have been absolutely brilliant for the ensuing 33 years.
I'm not.
Nothing wrong with a bit of individuality. Your technique will affect your note selection and your feel, which will in turn define you as a bass player. My advice, don't worry about it and just do what feels good.
If you can play what you want to play and achieve what you want to achieve on the instrument it makes absolutely no difference whatsoever whether you use your middle finger, a slice of sponge cake or a Fiat Panda.
IIRC the Aerodyne has a 7.25" fingerboard radius, so the pickups would be higher in the middle to give a more uniform height from the strings.
Flatter fretboards would need less pitch on the pickups.
Of course the moral here is don't bother to learn the original.
Get a grasp of the song, and get the guitar player to give you a nod for the changes. Make everything else up on the spot.
I was operating a table saw on the day of a gig at JB's in Dudley.
The moment I thought "I hope I don't cut my finger" I managed to push the ring finger of my right hand into the blade. Cut a nice groove right down to the bone!
They couldn't really stitch it because too much flesh was missing so they just wrapped it up. I made the casualty nurse put as small a bandage on as she could manage and carried on with the gig that night. Being mainly a two finger player everything was fine until we got to the one song that I used three fingers for. I didn't react until it was too late and did a nice little run culminating in plucking the d string with my bad finger.
Pain. Blood. And worse of all, a horribly muffled note that ruined the fill!
Looks damn good to me. We need some kind of cheap/dodgy P bass club.

I haven't used the Bass Parts Resource for a couple of years but my last order of a set of ashtrays and a NOS j pickup arrived in about 4 days! Obviously I was just lucky I guess, but the previous time I am sure it was no where near the 4/5 weeks delivery time.

IIRC....which I probably don't, Roberts Growlers!
They have been on and off a few times and are a bit ropey but they still sound pretty good. FYI I went through my Zoom B2. I usually have the eq on it flat though and just use it to boost the signal.

I tried to enter but the forum wouldn't let me join with my googlemail address. I can't remember the name I thought of but it was obviously the winning one because of it's awesomeness!
I am now doing this purely because I want learn to edit! This one was done in Sony Vegas using some cheap chroma key green screen cloth I got off ebay!
The tracks okay too...I like the tuba!
