1. Ingenious. Maybe a bit restrictive for the running around and jumping bass players amongst us but pretty damn good. I feel an "EZBass" thingamajig product hitting the shelves soon!
2. Page one of Google search results for "robot t-shirt" Awesome! Thanks again Si.
3. I like the look of the Fusion and the Silverado. Could the Silverado be an alternative to an Aerodyne?
4. I had to go that route once, over a much more minor item. In fact it was just a receipt but I needed it to validate the warranty etc. The vendor didn't include it in the original delivery and after being told "it was in the post" several times I started a thread about it. It turned up three days later. Sometimes it has to be done. Just don't be too scathing, keep it factual, and if there is a happy ending to the story make sure you publicise that part as well.
5. I broke the headstock off my customised Gordon-Smith GS1. It had an additional Hooligan JayDee pickup and coil taps installed. I fixed it with no more nails and a couple of screws until I eventually sold it for next to nothing for somebody looking for a repair project. I used have a Brandoni Eko neck through which I put together myself using a hammer and some electrical tape. The thing was like a tank. It had no finish on it and was repeatedly dropped on the floor and never even went of tune!
6. IMHO... 11 months and no apology, no reasons, no contact...yes, you have been ripped off and by a guy that doesn't deserve to be in business. If he can find time to update his blog then he can put a couple of hours aside to answer his emails. If he is too ill then he should get someone to deal with it for him. Being a small business man is no excuse for being rude and treating customers so badly. Dealing with customers is a part of most businesses and arguably the biggest part. If he can't handle that then it is time to shut up shop and refund everybody.
7.
colour and price?
Pm'd.
8. What if I offered you my bb614 for a knock down price? :brow:
9. Just a quick one. http://robotrobotrobot.net has just been selected as my web hosts "Customer site of the Week!". They are displaying my Stormtrooper design with the following text: "This customer web site uses comic strip like images, which really suits the content and purpose of this web site. Nice!" This is a good example of inbound links and hopefully a helping in hand in going viral. I had to submit the site to the host for inclusion in the "customer sites" section...but it seems to have paid off already. The moral? Take any opportunity to promote your band site. I might not make any sales from that link as I have no control over the demographic that see it, but it is going to help my page rank!
10. Lol....yup, another thing to sort out. I am back up to page 6 for "robot t-shirt" and that's before some of the changes have been crawled. That is pretty damn good in my book. Couldn't have done it without you and this thread Si, cheers!
11. Typo! I meant robot t-shirt.
12. You are 100% correct of course. However I do feel I should be able to get in the first 5 pages for "robot-t-shirt". There a just over 3,000,000 results for that search term, and the majority of the ones that currently beat me do not actually specialize in robot t-shirts. Other than that, it's viral all the way. Twitter is proving pretty good for that already.
13. That has been an almost perfect example of my week. Except the tables bit! http://robotrobotrobot.net is back on Google! But it's down to page 20 for "robot t-shirt". So still a lot of work to be done. I have started to implement some of your suggestions Si. I haved added your alt tag to the header. I have also made sure I mention "t-shirt" in the h2 tags. I will be changing my image naming conventions but I am getting good results for robotrobotrobot so I will just be going for specific t-shirt descriptive names. I have also added a little hover "tooltip". That way I can write a much bigger description of each t-shirt without changing the simple layout. Fingers crossed for some real traffic!
14. That is rather nice looking. Lucky for me I have no money!
15. !00% happy here. Got my Aerodyne off Malcolm. Top bloke.

19. It's on the way! Just been a bit snowed under doing a website for a US web show.
20. All fixed now.
21. You do realise I will steal all of these ideas?
22. Cheers WOT. To be honest I rushed the site out amidst a ton of other work, so I have obviously let my testing lapse! Naughty boy! EDIT: Fixed. I say fixed, but I just mean changed because I can't be bothered to battle with the way these browsers don't even seem to count pixels the same way!
23. I recognise that! Cheers for the post OG. Stormtrooper-bot you say? How can I not do that! Hope you don't wait too long Hodgsonk. They do come from the states but mine arrived pretty quickly.
24. I have seen the same thing once when playing bass in front of the tv. Positioning the strings so I could see the screen behind showed the wobble.
