Will do, thanks. Just fyi, the site went live yesterday and has just got indexed by Google. It is now appearing on page 8 of the search results for my top search term "robot t-shirt". I am pretty pleased with that for such a generic term. I will tweak a few things and see if I can't improve it. But I think it's more down to inbound links now.

Not bad Si, cheers. Could do you with you casting a quick seo eye over this one if you don't mind. http://robotrobotrobot.net/ I think I have done okay. I have used a <h1> tag and a few <h2>'s. I have alt tagged everything and titled the links. I have used a couple of spellings of t-shirt. And the greatest move is just having it all on one page! How is the italian job going?

I had to do a search for this. Is it not a sticky any more?

Vocaloid is a midi voice synthesizer that actually produces quite decent vocals. I have no idea how to use it with Reason yet, I haven't actually got it...just thinking about it! I am hoping I can play/record a melody in Reason, then drop the midi file into Vocaloid and turn into a vocal track. The actual Vocaloid website is a bit rubbish http://www.vocaloid.com/en/index.html Here is a demo of it in use, with one of the Japanese voices. Which would be perfect for me since I discovered Tokyo Jihen!

Nice one. I am a bit of an IMDB credit addict myself...no major releases though! Well done.

That song/video is the reason I bought a Yamaha BB614!

I think if you can handle your own set-ups to a certain degree then buying online is fine.

Got a couple of pm's, thank you very much guys, so I will just to clarify my position on shipping... I can't be arsed! That's to say I don't feel that there is enough money involved for me to put any effort in. It looks as though the ES-175 will go today so if I am left with the tele, it's not really a big deal. That's why I am hoping for a local sale. If of course I was selling something a lot more expensive I would happily ship, but I'm not. The important thing for me is to scrape together £100 for the second half of a holiday deposit. A holiday which I have booked for next year and can't afford because I've got no work. So to sum up. Still collection only.

The time has come for me to put away childish things and sell some surplus stuff. Collection only from Hemel Hempstead. Unbranded Chinese made 3TS ES-175 copy. Not much else to say! Nice looking guitar, sounds pretty much how you would expect it too. Probably has a few marks here and there but pretty good nick. SOLD. Gould Tele copy, surf green, crappy home made relic job. Does the job, cool colour. £50 Yamaha FG-420-12 12 string acoustic. Fairly battered and with only 11 strings! This has been mine for at least twenty years. Sad to see it go. £50 Fender guitar padded bag. No idea what to ask for this. Possibly thrown in if somebody buys all of the above! They could all benefit from a clean and maybe a tweak but couldn't we all. The advantage of collection only is that if you bring a huge wad of cash you might be able to talk me into selling my SX jazz or my B614.

Nice look, good photographer and some nice Photoshop work. I am going to disagree with Silddx here. It's true that it's hard to nail down your target from just the photos but realistically, how many times is your audience going to be presented with just the photo? Not very often. Most of the time it is going to be coupled with some kind of graphic design. Typography here is going to make all the difference. Once those photos have been put into some kind of presentation format, a website, poster or flyer etc. with some relevant text, in a style that emphasises the bands direction, all will be good. Use a funky 70's looking font and you will look like a funk band, use a distressed Helvetica derivative and you are rock. Good photos.

1mm Steve Clayton Rounded Triangle Acetal Polymer. Similar but superior to the old Gibson Heavy picks I used to use back in the day. http://www.shopatron.com/product/part_numb...151.31152.0.0.0

Bass players who advance the instrument into new territory
paul h replied to thisnameistaken's topic in General Discussion
Sorry, haven't read all the thread...attention span issues today! However. Larry Graham. 'Nuff said. A genuine advance (possibly the last one?) into new territory. Massive influence on bass playing and music. And his vocals are almost as influential as his bass playing. -
My list changes constantly but right now... P. Sunburst. Tort. Rosewood. J. Olympic White. Tort. Rosewood. Funny thing is, I usually prefer maple but lately I have started to think all rosewoody. Must be an age thing.

Old stock I guess. The new headstock as filtered through on some Brice models but they are still available with the Lakland'a'like for now! If you want one, get one soon 'cause the new headstocks are fugly!

This my favourite MM youtube vid.

Just trawled through 35 pages of basses on ebay....ooooh, so many pretty things! I thought this was worth a share. A European seller of SX basses with damn good prices!
