Jaco was a brilliant musician who just needed an instrument... as it happened, he chose a 4 string bass

I had exactly the same one bass/amp setup for nearly 20 years, and was pretty damn happy with it... Over the last 10 years I've spent a lot more and own a lot more gear than ever before, which is probably worth around £8K in total. This happened because I got back into more live playing again, got back into fretless, and got into 5 strings... It's something I realise I'm extremely lucky enough to be able to do. That said, I'm pretty settled on what I've got for now... I just need that bit more space....

Just bought BF Midget T from Tapan. Cab was extremely well packaged, and in a excellent condition as described. All in all pleasure to deal with... cheers dude!

My what really are what? Also, I don't recall mentioning the Daily Mail anywhere in this thread! Perhaps you should go and have a little lie down.

Hence why I used the phrase 'mildly aroused'... I seriously doubt they are able to achieve anything like 'full tumescence'.
-
I doubt that.

Don't you know any other words? Still, you're doing a damn fine job of living up to all my expectations.

Nah, it's just a pathetic cliched insult thrown around by (usually) right wing pseudo-macho keyboard warrior types in a fit of pique at their inability to deal with the rapidly changing modern world, which they perceive as threatening their way of life, their fragile little egos, and ultimately their complete lack of self worth. It probably gives them a little frisson of excitement when the say it, they may even become mildly aroused and as they verbally lay into someone they perceive as being less tough than them, in the same way they probably enjoyed pulling the wings off flies when they were an unhappy child. That's the problem I have with it.

Swearing at people in work isn't professional though, irrespective of what kind of environment you are working in. You certainly wouldn't get away with it in my workplace. Sounds like this person you choose to label a snowflake stood up to some typical alpha male bs macho behaviour, and you don't like it. Good.

Please, not the tedious snowflake cliché, it's so boring. The rest of your post seems to be mostly gibberish.

The line in question doesn't to my mind necessarily endorse a racist point of view, but could be taken as a comment on the prevailing attitudes of the time. I wouldn't worry about it, personally...

Not used rotos for some time but I reckon so... I've been using a custom set of newtone's on my Dingwall since last year as I find the stock sets too heavy, and I find them excellent quality. Still got a set on that I fitted around September last year, and they still have plenty of life left in them. I also like the fact that they do custom sets. The only down side is that you may have to wait a couple of weeks for them, but if you allow for this then it's not a problem...

A sloppy feel sounds like something that happened round the back of the bike sheds...

Still have it in it's original now very dull tin box. One of the few bits of vinyl that I still pull out occasionally and listen to. One of my all time favourite records...

Open strings: Yay or nay, with reasons.

Why would anyone not use all the tonal variations and fingering possibilities that are available to you? -
10/15... I didn't know any of the rock players apart from Entwistle so had to guess at those...

I'll raise you lard...

I prefer a bass that plays like flora...
