  1. Nah, got a couple of jazz basses. No way it’s better than those
  2. Funnily Enough, played a RW flea last night - nice and light, resonant. needed a set up. which I’m doing for the lad tomorrow
  3. Saw one of these today. Looks ace.
  4. Just spotted one of these in local PMT as “ex display” £1299. my wallet went all sweaty. looked amazing.
  5. Surprised I didn’t buy that after a few beers 🙄
  6. Listen to the sleeper version from the trainspotting soundtrack, it’s a little clearer and easier to listen to
  7. Also just added for when the Gibson is too posh to gig…
  8. All in good time. defret/refurb/refin thread for January 2024
  9. My worst has literally happened in the last 15 hours. how did I discover this purchase? when eBay sent a payment reminder. god love p*ssed me…
  10. Literally bought a few days ago. Had some sort of wine related eBay embolism last night and bought a 70’s Encore/Eko bass…🙄 Captain Vino decided one acoustic bass wasn’t enough 🙄 (thought I’d grown up…WRONG!) I had plans to defret this. But it’s bloody lovely - and think it needs to be left as is. The one I’ve bought, is best described as…a pig. So I’ll be working on that, ripping the frets out etc. This is 34” and dreadnought shaped. Pickup, onboard tuner etc. In very good nick, a few tiny marks (satin finish) but the guy who had it before me was a guitarist who didn’t use it. Ive shoved roto flats on it - but I probably have some rounds if you’d prefer. no case. So collection is advisable.
  11. Well. After an epic eBay balls up following some vino plonko…probably soon
  12. reckon if this isn’t sold by Jan 1st, I’ll just keep it.
  13. Miller is known/has been known to ply a Sterling fretless 🤷🏻‍♂️🫣😂
  14. Not sure vintage/sx/tanglewood would harm the SUB/Sterling sales as much as Sire… and vintage/tanglewood are much more a UK concern. Mind you, looking more like Nemo than a Stingray may keep these on the shelf rather than harming anyone else’s sales.
