1.
Ive got a similar set up on my bass
No. You've got every setup on your bass You'll see there's a response from the man himself, to the accusation that the design has been stolen, which refutes it. I don't see them as identical, nor should anyone with eyes in their heads.
 2.
Is there butter and toast in your book? What about marmalade? I've not had any in years
It's all about the shredded.
 3.
you beat me to it!
Wahey! Great minds It would be a very different video if I got decked up as a bird and pranced around my living room. Fivers via Paypal and I'll see what I can do, mind
 4. Yeah, I can see those. Looks fine - I'd just check the neck and electronics in the flesh. You jumping on it?
 5.
Someone who can see in real time
You don't see in real time? Trippy, man
 6.
.. is nobody else going to say it??
Am I too late for the w***ing jokes? Sorry to hear that the medical professionals have had no luck - though the GPs and consultants, etc, do tend to look for things which are broken; And it could be that, in this instance, nothing is broken. You might then try someone like a physio, or someone of that ilk, in conjunction with some of the advice on here, to get a sense of what is generating the strain and where; oh, and what you might do, if anything, to lessen it.
 7.
but the suggestion was never aimed at you anyway. You know, cos you're posting. But it would still have scooped us up anyway. Anyway, sorry, shouldn't keep worrying away at this... One more thing..."gobby scouser"...LEEDS UNITED???
Dad red; mum white - and you know how it is when your mam gets involved
 8. Any sense of condition, etc? £250 sounds good, but not if it's been chewed by a pack of dogs. Pics?
 9.
Could be worse. They might have modelled it on a Warwick or something.
That would have upped the price.
 10. Bindun. http://basschat.co.uk/topic/169875-retrovibe-vantage/
 11.
Went for a shufti this evening, Pro's Seemed legit. Not too bad condition Con's Neck was too wide and 'clubby' compared to my Curbow Prefer Volume/Blend to Volume/Volume Not sure what the sticker was hiding. It pained me, I walked away Mainly since I do not think that this is a bass that I could get on with. This is a bargain bass for someone (just not me!!) Thanks for all the advice. Ross
Yes, the necks can be quite a reach for some. Is your mate able to open the offer up to others on this forum? I'm sure someone would have his arm off for it.
 12.
It looks very clunky and primitive though. Something made in Eastern Europe/USSR in the 60s or 70s?
We could only wish...
 13.
More (including pics) to follow...
And then all will be well in the world We need to feed our pic addiction.
 14.
I'll eat my own underpants if that sells for less than £350
Remember to take the buttons off, if you're dining on boxers.
 15.
I'd been reading these forums for ages before becoming a member. I only joined because I wanted to buy something that was advertised here...
To which end a minimum post count for selling would not have stopped The fact that we have new people on this thread and posting about their experiences is good - but the suggestion was never aimed at you anyway. You know, cos you're posting. Anyway, Machines has given his answer. It's down to the individual member to make their call as to whether the person is legit or not, or if they're someone they want to deal with. Sounds pretty straightforward, so no worries.
 16.
String tree is a problem.
No it isn't, I hope: http://www.axesrus.com/axeTrees.htm £2.80 too? Might be worth a look Lovely Status
 17. sh*te, is this really all that unusual, or because some of you stalwarts can't remember back to when you were 15? To come back on my original post, now you've said it was covers... then dullards. They could have at least packed you off to have a listen to a few tracks.
 18.
I had an audition for a band last night; my very first. A drummer, guitarist and me. I was expected to simply play along with them to songs I didn't know, have never played and which are very much outside my genre. There was no music, no chord charts like I normally print off the internet: no one could tell me the chords a la Nashville Numbering System (eg. I, IV, V in G), nor- for most of the songs- did they tell me the chords, let alone the changes. I was expected to simply play along, taking my lead from the guitarist's fretting hand. Is this how these things generally go and am I simply not at the stage yet where I'm sufficiently accomplished a player to even consider joining a band? I had a great time, nonetheless, with two really great guys.
This is where the diversity of Basschat weighs against a sensible resolution - as we have pro and semi-pro players here who would wonder what the f*** was going on if confronted by the above. But, for a lot of guys just starting, and those of lesser/intermediate abilities, this is often how it goes - if you've put your mate drums and are just banging some ideas together, particularly if it's original stuff. You can call it an audition but a 'jam' might be closer to the truth, and I've done a couple just like that. The songs are unformed, and it's a clean sheet to have a go at what you would do with that riff the guitarist has got, etc, etc. If it was covers then I don't know why they couldn't f***ing tell you which ones in advance
 19. I practice a lot and am in one band. A career outside of music pays the bills and gives me the collateral to have this as an amazing hobby.
 20. Skank has pretty much nailed my pre-gig preparation - but that's one for dealing with the nerves; do you do anything different if you're genuinely suffering with stagefright?
 21.
The blocks on the Jazz one were stick on.
Aw, not the answer I wanted - still, that hasn't stopped me using such on my own basses!
 22.
I really like that, it`s so wrong, that it`s right.
I like this Though this sentiment has gotten me into a lot of trouble, over the years Do previous RV4 owners know if the block markers are stickers or genuine inlays?
 23. Is the answer not much the same as for presentations? Make sure you prepare beforehand; know your stuff; have everything you need to hand; breathe from the stomach; etc?
 24. You know, I quite like that. I'm seeing Ric; I'm seeing Fender; and I'm wondering why Reverend haven't already made one! Just checked: £219? Fecking bargain, surely? Someone buy one
