1. christ Quimby that Meat DI sounds good and that was when it wasnt working properly. Im very VERY interested in hearing this running properly. I cant figure out how you are running it with your rig. Are you plugging into that then from that into the GT200? Doing that does it give you an extra load of pre amp to use, gain etc. What bonus's does it give you compared to just the GT? Also, PM me if you dont want to tell but how much was it? I might be very tempted to run one along side my V4 instead of the sansamp. Will
2. my thinking is that if its a band that have made the radio 1 playlist on a frequent basis, its usually toss. Maroon 5 joined that list very quickly with their recent stuff.
3. yup i only use 1 bass 1 amp 1 cab.
4. i have a cheapy Brunswick acoustic. dunno the model number but for a cheapy it aint half bad. Its nice and big so you get a good enough sound coming out of it. Might be worth a look.
5. Cant really help with that exact bass but Gibson are great at not shedding light on products that they have done a limited run of. My old guitarist bought a Gibbo Flying V Gothic loaded with EMG pups and ebony board and a few different bits to all the other Gothics we had seen. It took bloomin ages but we found out it was a ltd run they called the Gothic 2. Not a single bit of info on any Gibson site, we had to find out from old sales pages that had not been taken down n stuff. Good luck finding info let alone finding one lol.
6.
that makes no sense! Why are the parts so expensive then? I'm looking for a passive blend pot for my warwick. An MEC replacement will cost me £40 posted- a new rockbass, with a blend pot in it, can be found new for £200 ?? Let me get this right... the £300 Rockbass has the same pups and hardware as a £3000 German made bass? That's the same pups alone, that if bought from the Warwick shop to drop into your bass, would cost you 398 Euro
Dear Mr Warwick Official - as you say you can answer questions, please answer this one. How can your company justify selling your components at a more expencive rate than it is to buy a whole bass? this makes no sense to us.
7. Maple with Ekanga veneer stripes - but only at the slimmer width of the older 90's models used to be. I borrowed one of these and loved the neck, would have been a real contender for when i was shopping around for a new one. Cant stand the baseball bat sized newer necks.
8. i had an 89 Ray5 for close to 10 years and these are the BEST sounding Ray's ever! (imo). Miss it sooo sooo much but after that amount of time i realised I'm a crap 5 string player! Wish i could buy this. Hopefully won't be here long Awesome.
9. free to anyone who wants it and can pick it up. I'm in the Stoke on Trent area (Biddulph to be precise) Its in great nick and is well comfy. Proper vintage style.
10. i dont like the sound of any bass amps that are the same size as an ipod. they just dont cut it. If i were you, i would be looking for a smaller size cab so you can choose between the proline and another depending on venue / being arsed to lift it and keep using the HD350 with either. No point having a quality amp sitting around collecting dust. im my opinion, a quality sound is worth using your muscles. Before we know it, every bass player will be a little weedy skinny dude with an ipod amp and a plastic bass as the proper pro gear is just too heavy waaa waaa.
11. wow! i have not seen a Fodera that i like until this one. very nice.
12. My Sandberg!! Perfect mix of the 2 perfect basses for playing punk music (P and ray obviously)
13. i bet that sound f**king killer! specially with sans amp.
14. this used to be mine and I really miss how incredibly loud the thing is for its size, proper old school TE watts yeah this is an awesome rig and and even better at that price! the little cab is great and is really small but puts out some real volume. Good luck Chris, glad to see it did you proud mate. wish i could have this back lol.
15. as if this has not gone yet! These are just the most amazing basses ever. I love mine to bits. If i had the cash i would swoop it up straight away. bargain alert!
16. I'LL OFFER £10. you'd be an idiot to not sell it me for that price.
17. personally i dont like these little car stereo sized amps. i have tried a few now and yes they seem loud enough, but compare to a big ol iron lady SS amp or a valve amp they seem (to me) to lack guts. I know gozillions of people on here swear by them but they aint for me. I have never seen a touring band or have been on tour with anyone using these. They are always big industrial sized amps. i wouldnt listen to me though! im probably wrong.
18. i wouldnt buy it because er.......i dont like the carpet it's sitting on. I guess thats the only reason. Looks a beast! Remember, a great big bottom end is worth carrying
19. cool man, yeah its a tough world out there. I lost out big time on my VBA when i sold it as i bought it new. gutted.
