  1. Is it not a standard Gotoh dual battery box? Certainly looks like it. If so I have a brand new one I bought and never used.
  2. Brand new Neewer NW-202 two button footswitch. Two latching buttons and compatible with Ashdown Rootmaster and any other amps that function in the same way. I bought it to use with my Rootmaster, which I've now sold, and never got a chance to use it other than testing that it does work. It came with an led for each switch and having checked with Dave Green at Ashdown these had to be disconnected. Unfortunately when doing this they fell out and appear to have got lost. The minute holes are covered with a self adhesive plug and are barely noticeable.
  3. I asked Dave Green at Ashdown the same question and it is the full 300w with single speaker The 2x10 needs an additional cab to get the full output.
  4. Do you mean the speaker from your CMD121? Absolutely, it becomes a NY121 I guess. If you remove the head there's room to strap a micro amp in the area where the MB head was.
  5. Good idea. There might be a BassChatter nearby that can help.
  6. Other than buying a new one, not really. They are sealed units so no user replaceable parts. You could contact Bartolini or wherever you bought it from and see if you can get a replacement. Was it new? If so request a replacement as it's faulty. I assume your guitar tech has confirmed a supply, 9v, is getting to the module when the Jack is inserted? A lack of power would cause the symptoms you describe.
  7. Exactly right. The diagrams for Bart preamps are readily available from their website and that is exactly how the passive option works. I've installed a couple in the past.
  8. If you do fancy a BF 1x10, this is too good to pass up.
  9. That was my first thought but cheapest return is around £40, bass is £60. I can buy a new one for £10 more. I can ship it for less than £10 but seller doesn't want the hassle at this stage hence seeing if the good members of BassChat could help. The annoying thing is that he was in Manchester 2 weeks ago but hadn't put it up f/s then.
  10. Is it an On/Off switch for the LED's? The fact that there are only two wires and a resistor would rule out any coil tapping. Can you trace the wires back and see if one goes to the battery.
  11. In that case, adding the extra drain on the battery is an unknown. Maybe Sims could answer the question.
  12. I think Enfield use Glockenklang preamps don't they? I wouldn't expect the J Retro to drain the battery any more than the existing installation does.
  13. I remember Russ Ballard from Argent doing the same thing with a couple of his Strats in the 70's
  14. Nope, they were all 34" scale. I picked up an Ibanez Mezzo 5 string for a great price to test the theory and it really is a revelation. All my 34" scales have gone including two £3k ACG's.
  15. I'm suffering with painful finger joints due to arthritis so know what you are going. My Mother suffered really badly in later life so it has come as no surprise. I've taken Turmeric for years and it does seem to help. I also use Flexiseq if it's really bad. Not cheap, but does seem to work and recommended by the British Arthritis Society. The major change, that had been a game changer, is moving to 32" scale bass. I couldn't believe a bass that's only 2" shorter in scale could make such a difference, but it has. I've sold all my standard scale basses but finding 32" scale 5ers is proving difficult.
  16. Very hard to offer any advice or opinion without knowing the amp in question.
