    Paint

I've used Warnex Structure paint before and been really impressed. I believe HK use it for their cabs. Applied with a sponge roller and build up with light coats and it gives a really nice uniform finish.
  2. I was in the same situation. Seller had it listed on Reverb and FB. If I recall he just withdrew the Reverb listing and we came to a deal on FB. AFAIK, no repercussions from Reverb.
  3. They're on in Prague on 25th. My Son lives there so a cheeky trip might be in order.
  4. @sandy_r How strange. Same amp, different stickers. Wonder what the story is behind that? I don't think EA exist anymore so not possible to find out. @eubassix If it keeps blowing, I would suspect a power supply problem. A blown component or mains transformer problem. I don't know if the schematics are available but I would involve a decent amp tech.
  5. Should be a 4A Slo Blo apparently, although I don't think it would make much difference using a 3A. Good shot of the rear of the amp in this F/S ad.
  6. Could it be the main input fuse on the back of the amp? Housed just underneath the mains socket.
  7. Could it be a Retro vibe Stinger?
  8. I've been searching for ages for the same thing. Looks like medium scale accessories are somewhat overlooked. I have got round it by putting an extra 2" of foam in the bottom of a Mono Bass Sleeve I've got, from the days when I played 34's. Works perfectly but here's where Mono have missed a trick. There is already a foam block in the bottom of the bag. Covered in a velvet fabric and held in with Velcro. I emailed Mono to see if they made a thicker one for a medium scale bass. Answer inevitably was No. If they supplied the Bass Sleeve with 3 different thicknesses of foam, it could be used for 30/32/34/35 etc. instruments. They did suggest that the guitar version might work but there's nowhere locally I could try one.
  9. Just checked my ACG. Neutrik jack plug into locking socket, solid as a rock. It is possible to pull it out 1-2mm, without using the release button. But it needs considerable force. Something that would not happen in real life.
  10. One of my all time favourite bands. Made it big in the US thanks to MTV. First saw them on The Tube in the 80's. I think The Tubes were on the same show. My youngest son is really into them as well and we're really stoked that we are seeing them in London in December. One of the first reviews I saw of them had the classic line, " They can fill a 75000 seater stadium in America at the drop of a plectrum but are virtually unknown in the UK."
  11. My ACG has a Neutrik locking jack. I'll check it later and report back.
  12. This is an insane price for what is a close to £3k bass, if you wanted one building. As a previous owner I can say this is an absolute stunner. It is light and you can dial in some great tones with the filter Pre-Amp and coil switching. If it hadn't been for the onset of arthritis making me change to medium scale, another ACG, I would never have sold this one. Alan originally built it for himself and I bought it direct from him. Tom is great to deal with as well.
  13. Have a look here and see if anyone is near you. https://www.basschat.co.uk/topic/26654-recommended-luthiers/
  14. Speak to the guys at @Ashdown Engineering. They are repairing Trace gear which makes sense considering Ashdown was borne out of the old TE organisation.

  16. No, it just takes you to the shop page.
  17. Is the large "subscriptions" banner a permanent feature now after the recent update? It takes a fair chunk of screen up on a mobile.
  18. I've tried rechargeables and my main gripe is that they go from "hero to zero" rapidly and without the degrading if normal alkaline batteries. Decided to stick with "normal" batteries as they last an eternity.
  19. I've one bass with Luminlay side dots and two that have stick on glow in the dark ones. I carry a couple of UV torches to charge them. Works a treat. I made my own stick ons. Bought a piece of A4 luminous self adhesive and a hole punch. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/161417187491?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=fJoKXDG3QC-&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=NXO8JSHoStK&var=460441492575&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
  20. Or a watch back removal tool. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/111796404295?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=DzEeh3cqQ76&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=NXO8JSHoStK&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

  22. Could just be that the smaller knob has been pushed too far down and is filling on the larger? Not sure if they are push in or grub screws, but try separating them very slightly.
