1. I think I'm correct in saying that Osprey Guitars is our own Ou7shined of this very forum. He should be able to provide any details.
2. I have a Cort B4 Artisan unlined Fretless. It has an ash body, Bartolini pickups and preamp as well as Hipshot tuners. All this for £400. For the money it is a great bass, especially if you can pick up a used one, and well worth a look.
3. My Bitsa is a glorious Jazz bass assembled and refinished by Dave Wilson. The original owner commissioned Dave to build the bass with cost being no object. He wanted the bass to replicate one of Adam Claytons Stage Basses for a U2Tribute show. This is a marvellous bass which has a huge presence in any setting.
4.
Hi there, whats the weight? Cheers
On my luggage scales she's coming in at 8lbs.
5. This is a mega deal for a guitar player. The Fender Twin is iconic and at this price complete with flight case should not have lasted this amount of time. Have you tried a forum like The Fretboard?
6. Had another wee look at this and Graham is spot on. Robben Ford seems to have played both the Espirit and Flame Models.
7.
Very Robben Ford. Check YouTube "Playing the blues" & "Blues and beyond" to see him playing one of these. I seem to remember Fender even making a signature model for a short while.
Thanks for the info re the YouTube link Graham. I think Robben Ford played the larger bodied 'Espirit' guitar from the Master Series.
8. Thanks for the comments chaps. I'll be in Glasgow tomorrow (15th May) till Thursday (18thMay) if that helps anyone.
9. Price now reduced from £950 to £850 including shipping I am putting up for sale my 1984 Fender Flame 'Elite'. These were Japanese made guitars made in the period when the US factory was still not up to speed in the early to mid 80s. The guitar was Fenders attempt at competing with Gibson and so the guitars had a set neck which is rather nice. The hardware including the pickups was all Schaller. The guitar also used Fenders TBX tone circuit. As you would expect from Japan this is a very well put together guitar. It also sounds and plays very well. The pickups and tone circuit provide plenty of power and a nice variety of tones. The guitar has been well gigged although most of the 'roadworn' appearance is limited to the back and sides of the guitar. There is a fair amount of buckle rash, dings, and scratches. This is as you would expect from a 33 year old players guitar. There is also a small ding on the back of the top of the guitar. I have tried my best to photograph the dings etc to give as faithful a representation I can of the condition of the guitar. The guitar comes in a fitted Gator hardcase. This is a pretty rare guitar from the Fender stable and can only increase in value. The price of £850 includes delivery to the UK.
10. That is a very nice bass with the added bonus of being Scottish!😊
11.
If my fretless sells im coming your way!. Have a bump on me.
Thanks man!
12. Slight crack in case now repaired.
13.
PM'd
And replied.
14.
Sooooo tempted but how many jazz basses does a man need?
At least one more!😃
15. I have for sale my 1984 Tokai Jazz Sound (JB50) in Red (Candy Apple I think) with Matching Headstock. This is a '62 reissue' and therefore has a threaded saddle bridge. This is an extremely nice Jazz Bass built in Japan from an era when the Tokai was an exact copy of the Fender Jazz in that the headstock is the same as a Fender as opposed to the more modern Tokai offering. A rather nice touch is the colour-coded matching headstock which in my opinion sets off the bass very nicely. This bass is all original and in superb condition for a 33 year old instrument. It is difficult to find any marks on this bass. There are one or two very small marks which cannot really be photographed. I only mention them for the sake of transparency. The bass has had a pro setup by Graeme Mennie of Kinellar Guitars and is currently strung with a new set of Thomastik Flatwounds. The bass will come in a generic hardcase. One corner of the case has a slight crack in it (see photo). UPDATE: The crack has since been repaired with superglue and boot polish. The bass will be well packed in its case and cardboard box. The asking price includes delivery to the UK. I am not looking for any trades although I might just entertain a Fender Precision if the price and type is right.
16. Nice to see Robert Cray's bass player using a Squier VM Jazz.

18. Bought rack ears for my Markbass LM2 from Stuart. Nice pleasant transaction the way it should be. Stuart is a gent!
19. I thought that Dayme Arocena and her band were sheer class.
20. I went to my local vinyl emporium in Aberdeen yesterday. 'Spin' has been open for a few months now and is just marvellous. A great bonus is the cafe/restaurant which is part of the whole place. It is just such a nice place to go and spend some time.

22. I have found that some dealers are giving a pretty good price on trade-ins. Whereas private deals very often are disappointing with people offering silly money for good instruments.
