  1. +1 for the EBS Microbass. Superb piece of kit.
  2. Good news Pedro - tis a superb instrument
  3. It's a Shuker 2 band active pre with a bypass for passive - pups are Delano humbuckers...here's some ugly fat bastard playing it at Colne Blues Fest yesterday
  4. I think it's the one on the stock page but can't check at the moment cos the IT gestapo won't let me on the site. The Delanos are superb - very clean and punchy and as you say very quiet. This thing actually sounds like a Jazz, I love it.
  5. Excellent - been and gone and ordered one. Thanks fellas
  6. I've given up trying to buy an SKB 2u shallow rack case and I've seen these chunky Boschma jobbies - are they any good?
  7. Played my new Shuker Jazz at Colne Blues Fest yesterday - I'm absolutely ecstatic with it. It's everything I've been looking for in a bass... More pics when the sun decides to shine.
  8. I'm thinking of changing the pups in my Shuker - they're Nordstrand DCs with the series / parallel switch. I've been a naughty boy lately and spent a lot of money so I'm just gauging interest at the moment cos I'd need to sell them to offset the cost of whatever I replace them with. They're like new and will be extracted by Jon Shuker so no worries on that score. They're about £260 new so I'm thinking somewhere around £150? Pic
  9. Si - you're back ... yikes I owe you some mahoney. I'll get it posted prontamundo Looks like I got the job - bit scary really, these people are proper musicians. I've got some MP3s of them - does anyone know I can post a couple on here?
  10. I had an audtion two weeks ago with a band that were several leagues above anything I've done before. I didn't play well but did enough to get a second bite today - and I'm actually nervous. It's not like me at all, usually I couldn't give a toss but I really really want to get into this band. Wish me luck
  11. I've had both and there's no real comparison really. My 4-94 was a beautiful looking bass that sounded fantastic but I got nervous every time somebody went near it which I know is daft but I sold it because of that. The Joe is a solid work tool that'll do the job perfectly and for a long time. My advice? Buy a Darryl Jones
  12. Sold to Mr Russ
  13. Good nick - £40 posted.
  14. EBS Multicomp + power supply. Couple of paint chips on the base of the unit but only cosmetic and it works perfectly. Comes in the original box. I paid £105 for it, you can have it for £95 shipped.
  15. A sad day for the Three Amigos...just promise me you're new project has something to do with gynaecology mate Someone is going to get a truly outstanding bass - wish it was me Russ.
  16. Can this be used as a standalone cab?
  17. It originated from Cumbria
  18. I picked it up from Brum about a week ago Pedro
  19. I wish you'd done this when I was in your living room - it wouldn't be up for sale now
  20. I have yellow skin...ask Marge
  21. Ta Joe, looks even better in the flesh - quite vintage. I'm thinking about whether to go the whole hog and put the bridge and pup covers on. Waddya think?
  22. It's just a bog basic MIA '95 P in see through Butterscotch. I put the tort plate on.
  23. New butteryscotchy bass to show you
  24. My Sandberg had the sound you want - that had a MM pup at the bridge and a reverse P pup in the usual place. It's not a pretty set up but it'll give you that sound.
