1. I'm picking one up today - hope I disagree.
2. Putting new strings on and a good polish is part of the bonding process with a new bass for me.
3. Bob - wait until you try the DR Sunbeams on the Jazz tomorrow - they're brilliant.
4. Owen - I'm only trying to help but I think some better/bigger pics might help you to sell this. BTW - if I had the money, I'd love this.
5. I used to hate the shape of these things but you forget that the moment you hear one. Lovely bass Tony - wish I had one.
6. There's a joke in there somewhere Pete..."er...where's the Ram's Head?" "Three feet from its arse"...ahem. I'll definitely try and make that one Pete.
7. Hey Pete, if you're ever stuck for a cab or owt for a gig etc, don't be shy mate

9.
I'm confused my friend, you say i should have been here 3 or 4 day ago,...........what happened 3 or 4 days ago to cause you so much pain?
I was trading a Shuker Jazz for something like this for around the same value...I have the cash to play with but your a bit far away to come and try the bass.

14. I think I'll continue with Big Al's Delivery Service
15. When I've sold stuff, I've always tried to deliver it or meet the buyer halfway - it saves money, ensures nothing gets broken and I like to know that the buyer is pleased with what he's bought. On the rare occasion I've used a carrier, it's always been Total Nobhead Transport - not cos they're cheap or good, it's cos I'm lazy and they call in where I work two or three times a day. I've just rung them for a quote to send a bass - fully insured and they said they can't do it because I might not package it properly and therefore, they'll probably break it. They'll only send it standard delivery and I think they said it would only be insured for £15 a kilo - I was talking over the guy at the time so that may not be 100% accurate on that. Fook that Anyone else had this problem?
16. Thanks bassinstinct - I'm sure it's a lovely bass but it's not for me.
17. I always have two basses, when it's two fours, there's no problem, when it's two fives it's no problem either but when I have one of each the four never gets played. I really don't want to sell this bass, I'd rather keep this and sell my 5 which, although I really love it, it just isn't suitable (too Marcus Miller) for the music my new band plays. Sadly, I know there's no chance of getting my money back on the 5er in the current gloom and can't afford to take a big hit on it so my beloved Jazz has to go.
18. This is for a friend who's a great bloke and a superb drummer looking for a good band in the Preston area. Gizza shout if you know of anyone looking. Ta muchly.
19. Only had this a few months and I said when I got it that it's everything I want in a bass, which it is apart from a missing string. Truth is, I have GAS for a Stingray 5 but could also make good use of a decent lined fretless 5 in my new band. If you look at Jon Shuker's site, you'll see a pic of this bass and a price tag of £1345. It has 2 Delano humbuckers with a preamp bypass switch, a beautiful neck with Abalone inlays and it sounds fantastic. The colour is absolutely stunning, it's immaculate and comes in a new Hiscox case. I know stuff ain't moving at the mo so although I'd be happy to sell for somewhere in the region of £875, I'd prefer to trade for a Stingray 5 - a nice one or a lined fretless 5 (cash +/-). More pics on request.
20. I have severe Stingray 5 GAS at the moment - especially for a HS.
21. Could be a problem with that particular bass - I'll take it off your blackened hands for £100
22. What about Flanker's Tec Puma head that's up for sale here - bet that's a cracker.
23. Here's a few gratuitous snaps of my 4-94...boy I miss that bass You can see the contours of the quilting on the upper horn...boo-friggedyhoo
