1. I've played this Jazz and it's the poodle's plums. Bob's a gentleman and a pleasure to deal with so buy with confidence. Someone's going to get a bargain.
2. Gary - did you have to post this, I've soiled myself
3. Any more pics to come Pedro?
4. Lovely bass Stephen - droolsome in fact.
5. I cured my Bongo GAS at the weekend. Unfortunately it's because I'm now GASsing severely for GreeneKing's water cured redwood Spector - the best bass I've ever seen / played bar none. Peter - why did you have to bring that to the McBash...
6. Channel 4 were filming a documentary about long distance relationships and took some footage during our gig. Apparently there was a guy in the audience who was sh*gging some woman from Russia - though not during our set. Now that would have been much more interesting to watch.
7. A big thanks to everyone for making the McBash a great success - it was as perfect and satisfying as the world class cheeseburger I had for lunch. Can't wait until the next one (cheeseburger?)...I mean McBash of course. Lovely people lovely basses.
8. What about this?
9. That's just filthy cgordonfreeman - it hits the spot.
10. Heard this rig last night - absolutely superb. Russ started with the Fernandes and it sounded really nice, punchy and deep and then he put the other bass on the strap and F'Kinal, it rattled my piles. That set up is perfect for you Russ, great sound. Keep that Kinal mate Can't remember hearing a better sounding bass - it looked great on stage too.
11. Are you bringing that to Moffat dub_junkie?
12. Will the Fernandes make its debut tonight then?
13. Nice one Dave - looking forward to it.
14. Hope nothing goes bump in the night, that hotel looks haunted to me
15. I'll miss this if and when it ever goes - it's like an old friend
16. I remember the debate about how the number of times strings are wrapped around the tuner posts affects string tension. I'm a simpleton but it all sounds daft to me - surely to reach pitch, a string needs to reach a certain tension and if you go beyond that tension, the note is sharp? I dunno Pedro...we'll chew the fat over some suds on Saturday
17. yep - GAS is an infectious disease around here
18. I'm not usually a fan of painted necks but it didn't seem to matter on mine - they felt good.
19.
I have the same problem with the Bongo... I play an Overwater and whenever I play a Bongo I think 'its not as nice as my Overwater'... yet the though of a Bongo 6 is so exciting I come over all funny!
That new 6 makes me positively moist.
20. You're absolutely correct Chris - both purchased off Paul_C. Loved 'em to bits but you know what I'm like Thanks Russ - that's gorgeous and I want it now.
21. I have recurring Bongo GAS, I have two really nice basses at the moment but every now and then I look at a Bongo and well, it's a bit like Close Encounters when they keep seeing the shape of the mountain and come over all peculiar, I get drawn towards them. I hate the look of them but having owned two - a 4HH and a 5HS, I can quite categorically state that for me and the way I play, there's nothing better sounding and easier to play than the proverbial and much maligned toilet seat at full throttle. Had to share that....... na, didn't work, I still want one
22. I've used SKB, Gator, Stagg and Boschma. The Boschma case is the best by a country mile IMHO and cheaper too.
23. Nicest OW I've ever seen - congrats
24. Korg DT10 - love it to bits, best tuner I've had. Simple, solid, easy to see
25. Let's invite Destiny's Child ...muhaha
