1. I've just purloined a 5 string Shuker with the individual saddle bridge. It's currently got a set of Elixirs on with a tapered B and they have to go. Can anyone tell me what'll fit in the B slot because I've tried a 130 DR and there's no chance.
2. As far as I know they are. It used to be Old Git's, he built it so he'll know for sure.
3. Thanks Joe - we need another get together with Cameron. Lots of new toys to play with:)
4. It certainly is a looker Jon - people who've seen it in the flesh have been flabbergasted. I'm very fussy about strings TBH - I prefer DR Sunbeams but I'm pretty sure the B string won't fit the slot and I'm not filing this one.
5. Tony, I have them in my new to me Shuker - it's the switching version. I'm hopeless at describing sound etc but they seem very versatile. The previous owner described the bass as a super Jazz and I think the Nordy's have a lot to do with that. The only thing I can suggest is I'm only 25 mins from Monton and you're welcome to come and try my bass.
6. Hello Jon, it's this one
7. I've recently joined the exclusive Shuker club and want to put some new strings on. The B string slot on the (individual) bridge looks a bit narrow and is currently sporting a tapered B string. Before I waste money on the wrong strings, does anyone know if a standard 125 fits or do I need a tapered B every time?
8. Lovely bass Stuart - have a bump on me
9. Never knowingly undersold - ahem ...£490
10. It's 4 ohm Craig. Pics - including one of the cosmetic ding on the bottom side of the cab
11. Rash purchase forces reluctant sale. I think it's a series 1 - silly loud, silly light, good condition apart from a minor tear in the rat fur on the bottom edge of the cab (can't be seen when cab is in use). I'll get some pics up tomorrow but in the meantime it's yours for £500 collected / meet up - I don't really want to ship it. No trades thanks.
12. Oops I've soiled my breeches - spiffnifficent Russ. Can't wait to have a twang.
13. Thanks Pedro - Russ and me'll be up soon. He's delighted with his Kinal - can't wait to try that and you're new acquisition.
14. Thanks Steve, it's just the blues band I'm in seem to play everything in F and it's so much easier on a 5. Loving your AC by the way
15. I love this bass but I'm happier on 5 strings so has anyone got a nice Sandberg PM5 / JM5 they'd like to swap for my sexy, mint condition PM4 + cash adjustment for the right bass?
16. This was my back up head and I've only used for rehearsals 2 or 3 times. It's a cracking head for the money but I'm guessing that the lack of any response means I'm asking too much for this (it's what I paid for it). So, reduced to £200 collected or plus postage.
17. Very very nice Pedro - I'll be up soon to have a dabble
18. No not giving up just yet, it's just another GAS attack .
19. Sorry no trades unless you have an EBS 210 Neo Gorm combo
20. Thanks for all the kind comments fellas. A trip to Kendal is a foregone conclusion Pedro & Russ
21.
Ooh.. pretty. How heavy is it? And... what do all of them knobs do?
Sorry for the slow response Michael, I've had a few PMs to answer...ahem. It's about 9/10lbs according to my bathroom scales. The knobs are VOL - PAN - Vintage Tone Control (pull up for passive) and stacked treble / bass boost.
22. Just waiting to answer the torrent of PMs but this delay thingy where you have to wait between PMs is holding things up. At the moment, the bass is on hold (provisionally but not definitely sold) and there's a bit of a queue. I will answer all PMs when I can.
23. Looks like it's never been used. Comes in a nice custom made cover. Can ship in the original box with the cover posted seperately. £225 plus postage. No offers, no trades.
24. In good condition, comes in a Stagg case. I'm the second owner of this and it's been utterly reliable and done a great job for me but I have GAS for something a bit different so it has to go. £275 plus postage. No offers, no trades.
