1. Yes please list a price otherwise we'll have to remove it, many thanks! Si
2.
What cab do you use with the terror?
I use it with either an Ashdown Mini 4x8, a Mini 1x15 or a combination of the both Si
3. I have emailed the OP to provide a price and hopefully more details! Please refrain from calling each other names, you wanna do that, go to Off Topic (and we'll still ban you )....this is a sale forum! Cheers Si
4. My bass terror is awesome, yes it kinda just does one sound very well....the EQ isn't massively powerful, but I can't say that I've ever been at a gig and needed more than a tweak on any EQ to be happy. Over-Eq'ing an amp is bad IMO! But yes, remember that the Terror front end is the same as the AD200! Si
5. Obviously XB is completely right! But yes, experiment and use what YOU think sounds cool. As Mr Steve Lawson (and many others) would say...There's often a difference between what is right and what sounds good Si
6. I've heard from a few players that they prefer Dorian's softer sound than the full on Minor'ness (sic) of the Natural Minor. Certainly in some instances Aeolian is a bit much, depends on the song really! Si
7. You can tell that the grey/blue/red/white weren't any of the original colours because, assuming it's original, the pickguard is tortoiseshell. All custom colours had mint green (off white to my eyes) pickguards. So at some point it was sunburst. A beauty though, I'd love a 60's Jazz, won't be happening just yet though I'm afraid Si
8. Yes Ultrajazzes are Humbucking Si
9. Dillinger Escape Plan, Kate Rusby, Dan Le Sac Vs Scroobius Pip Go screw your brain by listening to one after the other! Si
10. If you have an issue after purchase, just buy a seperate DI box! Problem solved My OTB is awesome, love it, but when I'm going through a PA, I'll just use my Sansamp in front of it. Take the DI from the sansamp and run the parallel out (dry out) to the Orange for my onstage sound. This way it acts in two ways, I have seperate control of tone onstage and out front, one doesn't affect the other, plus if for any reason my amp dies....I still have a FOH signal. Si
11.
Alright Si, hope your well mate. I can get any of the custom colours...heres a list Black, Olympic White, dakota red, fiesta red, sonic blue, daphne blue, surf green, sea foam green, shell pink, candy red, lake placid blue, inca silver, firemist gold, gold sparkle, taos turquoise, sherwood green, burgandy mist
Ok cool Si
12. Malcolm really takes the time to figure out what you need, although sometimes he'll put you onto his bass guy for more in-depth bass chats There's a long turn around because: 1) They're in demand 2) Your strings are custom wound, not picked off the shelf packs The best thing to do is order a few packs at a time, I think they have now introduced a minimum order. I don't know for sure because I always order a few sets to make the most of the long wait time. Si
13. Yup, I think they're that good! Si
14. Wes, out of interest, how are you getting on matching colours from the old Fender Custom Colour list?. Do you only have access to the popular ones, or are you able to fulfill any of those old colours? Cheers Si
15. Nate is definitely playing a Bossa, has done for ages now! Si
16. It still amazes me how many people lump ridiculous gauge strings onto their bass in order to droptune well. All you need is higher tension strings!. I was using 45-105 strings in C Standard (C,F,Bb,Eb) with an action and tension similar to standard tuning, due to high tension strings*. Give 'Newtone Strings' a call, tell them what tuning you're in, your preferred normal guage, and they'll try and work out the best avenue. Custom wound strings, usually the same price, sometimes cheaper, than off the shelf brands that are not wound for purpose. Si *Bear in mind that much higher tension strings often won't go up to standard tuning, they're wound for droptuning.
17. I hardly see how Stevie is 'compromising' in any way!?. He's been doing his thing, his way for years and years and years....whats wrong with upping the show!? I could hear the bass perfectly fine, but there was a definite drop in the volume of his synth! It looks like he was playing a 4x10 Hartke cab (couldn't see the head, probably Hartke), and his bass is a Bossa Si
18. It's bloody awesome, classic songs played by a genius who hasn't aged at all really.....except his walking around?!?!...if thats what floats your boat! lol And what I love is that musically it isn't perfect, there's the odd timing issue, the odd little missed note etc....that gives it life for me!. Si
19. In what way? Si
20. The Chinese built Hofners are great, but it may have been a proper one: http://www.thomann.de/gb/hoefner_club_bass_500_2_cv_as.htm Si
21.
Apparently someone just called to say he loves me ...
Poor Jack....very poor! Si
22. Thats about as nice a Lakland as I've seen!! Good luck with the sale! Si
23. I just run mine from my pedal board power supply no problem! Si
24. Pedal Board Mk. 2 Same as before except re-arranged, Big Muff added in between Octave and ME-50B, and better cables! Si
