1. Steve is a standup guy so deal with confidence! I've played this bass and it's very cool! Si
2. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=220711040295 Si
3. No one at all? , or just 141 people who have other 4 string Benaventes lol Obviously won't bump this anymore Cheers Si
4. Oh what happened with that 'production' Shuker prototype? Sure I didn't see it, but forgot to ask about it! Si
5. Yup, a really good price (in the context of things), good luck! Si
6. I love my Fenders....but one day I want to own a singlecut, and this is a beauty. I'd simply like to keep track of its movements in case it's sold in the future Cheers Si
7. Hopefully will be able to add to this thread soon Si
8. I actually quite like Ellie's 'Your Song', only heard it on the tv (an advert is it?), but it's nice to hear a female voice doing the song....from that perspective, I don't think you can compare it to the male-sung original. Si
9. That's a hell of a price really, considering that's what you'd pay for a normal '64 or something.....and this is a LOT more rare. But yeah, not sure about the pickguard....I THOUGHT they were black too, but dunno. Si
10. If we could all CTFO that'd be lovely! Perhaps it would be prudent for those who don't have an appreciation for Ellie to leave (seeing as it was started with love and not hate), and start a positive thread about an artist they enjoy.....much more fun than arguing the toss and being negative! Si
11.
Just landed on the sofa - phew it's getting cold out there! It was a great day - my fave bash to date - thanks to Nick and Hamster for getting it all together and finding such a great venue - the fact everything was so spaced out meant those who wanted to crank the volume could and enjoy themselves without crucifying everyone's hearing, and the jam room and theatre were great as well. Thanks to all who came to my little talk thing - I didn't really know what I was going to say, so I'm glad that what we did cover seemed to hit the note as it were - please PM me any follow up questions - but it was lovely to meet you all and I enjoyed the other talks as well. Right I'm going to chill now and congrats again on another sterling effort from all concerned Thanks guys Cheers Mike
Gutted I missed your talk, but really enjoyed your little run-down on slapping. Was genuinely interested in how you were explaining it all, which, for me on the subject of slapping, is a really nice thing to be able to say Cheers Si
12.
Really enjoyed that Si! Your getting a great tone out of that jazz. With the intro medly did you change any settings throughout or was it all just technique changes?
Yeah just all technique changes, we set tones for each song and just went with it. Same with Hard Days Night, the kinda fast walking part I do, no eq change, just thumbed/palm muted technique.
Nice Jazz, btw...
Yeah it's ok, might refinish it purple and install a Kahler whammy Cheers guys Si
13. Cheers buddy! I definitly think 'great fun' sums them up for me Si
14. So we decided to do some studio recordings and 'music videos' of our covers band, we've been chocka busy for the last 5 years based on word of mouth....and not much has changed, but it can't hurt to have these things to hand.....and its fun! 1) Superstition (+intro) - Definitly my fave 2) Hard Days Night - Yes it's meant to be that silly and camp 3) This Love - Bit 'serious' for my liking, but hey, I really like the recording All of the recordings are my 2003 US Jazz Standard into my Ashdown EVOII500 & Mini 4x8, Mic'd up. Superstition video is my 1973 Jazz Hard Days Night video is a friends 1979 Ric This Love video is a Highway Precision bass on long-term loan to me Cheers Si

I've just found out that I'm able to bring an important addition ...and I'm looking to those attending to help out on some important product development. As you can see on this thread I'm bringing the prototype Shuker Satinline. So your part in history is sought! Cheers, Phil
Definitly looking forward to this!! Si
