  1. The EHX Switchblade Pro will do what you want - the two send/return loops each have individual volume controls, and work as outputs if you don't return a signal. Mine conked out within a year and is getting sent back to EHX for repair today, as it happens, but it was a fantastic unit while it was working.
  2. Collected a cracking little amp that Jon very generously gave away, he even re-arranged his Saturday morning around our collapsing rail network to meet me at the station. Super friendly and helpful guy, cheers Jon!
  3. Yeah these are great, the ability to adjust the frequency of the distorted part of the signal is something that should be in far more dirts IMO
  4. Saw The Jesus Lizard last night, first time seeing them do a non-festival show in over 30 years and they completely tore the roof off, one of the most incredible / terrifying gigs I've seen. Yow's stage persona is basically GG Allin crossed with William Burroughs and the band are gobsmacking. Sims is an astonishing bassist, an absolute engine of a musician, almost unbelievable that this vicious wall of noise was being turned out by a 3-piece. Playing Bristol tonight with a few more UK shows left, if they're playing anywhere near you get yourself on twickets and see if there's any spares, even if you've never heard them before you absolutely will not regret it.
  5. Bought a couple of drives off Stealth, great deal, banging pedals and they turned up next day in secure packaging. Cheers chief!
  6. Bought another bass off Benedict, same deal as above basically - good deal, belter of an instrument and it came extremely well packaged. Super smooth transaction, Benedict communicated promptly and in detail, couldn't have gone better.
  7. Bought a board & power supply from Ross in a fantastic deal, they were delivered promptly in excellent packaging, great comms throughout and a super easy transaction, thanks Ross!
  8. They look about right as well, appear to be Marvel clones tho so hopefully whichever set they actually are will fit the Marvels I've ordered. Thanks everyone.
  9. Bought a cracking phaser off Lee, great comms beforehand and it was delivered promptly in excellent packaging. Cheers Lee!
  10. That's looking good, the barrel looks to be the right shape & dimensions, I'll give them a whirl. Cheers chief!
  11. They could be an older style I guess, they're definitely not their current "infinity lock" ones
  12. Are they? Be nice if they are, they're easy to get hold of. My Dunlops are flared at the end and have a wider channel in them, like these: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Jim-Dunlop-Straplock-Dual-Design/dp/B0002CZVXM
  13. What up gangstas, Can anyone ID this straplock? It's on a bass that has passed hands through three forum members now and none of us recognise them. Too fat for Schallers, that much I know. Can get some better pics in natural light tomorrow if needed. Cheers muchly in advance.
  14. Bought Mark's Vintera jazz earlier today in a fantastic deal, he very kindly drove it down to the station to meet me from the train and we spent an hour over a coffee talking all things bass. Mark's a lovely bloke and the transaction couldn't have gone smoother, excellent communications and he responded to all my mithering in a prompt and friendly manner. Cheers Mark!
  15. Bought a Squier Jag off Benedict in a superb deal, great communication and the bass turned up packaged fantastically, effortless transaction. Great little guitar that he's tricked out nicely, he was super helpful and responded quickly to all my queries, cheers Benedict!
  16. "Tone Mallet", they're absolutely shameless lol, at least they've changed the name if not the livery this time tho. What's the build quality like, are there any grounding issues? Some of the DemonFx pedals I've tried felt like they were made out of recycled coke cans and buzzed pretty loudly when the controls were touched.
  17. Bought a Maruszczyk jazz copy off Mac in a shockingly good deal, he'd not only restrung it with a fresh set of rounds but threw in the original set of TI flats to boot. Mac saved me a good couple of hours off my round trip from Leeds by coming into Newcastle to drop the bass off, we had a great chat over a coffee and the time literally evaporated. Mac's a lovely bloke to deal with, friendly and knowledgeable and replied to all my niggling questions promptly and courteously. Cheers Mac!
  18. Bought a Squier 40th Jazz off of Bobby, not just a great bit of kit at a fantastic price but he went well above and beyond and delivered it to me next day to boot. We had a great chat for a half hour or so, Bobby's a lovely bloke with some cracking stories who's worked with some legit legends, well jelly. Cheers Bobby, very much appreciated.
  19. EHX Bass Preacher for sale, nice straightforward little compressor with controls for the amount of compression (sustain), makeup gain (volume) and a choice of three attack/release ratios. There's an internal trim pot (WHY) to set the parity volume, it's a little quiet by default so I've tweaked it so you're at parity with both dials at noon. Does the job well, if you're after an always-on "thickening" type compressor without any additional bells and whistles this is a good choice. Youtube demo: 60 notes posted.
  20. As-new Digitech Bass Driver for sale, can't find the box but it'll be well packaged. Nice little dirt this, goes from relatively subtle grit at one end of the "Morph" (where's Chas?) dial to ODB-3 style distortion around the middle and full-blown fuzz at the other end. Lots of decent tones to be had from it, and it's not as "fizzy" as the pedals it takes inspiration from. Apparantly has a cab sim on the second output which is accessed by holding the footswitch down when you power the pedal on, but I haven't used that so can't comment on it. Pretty decent demo of the kind of sounds you can expect to get out of it: 50 notes posted.
  21. Bought a fuzzbox off James, timely & informative comms and the pedal was delivered promptly in great packaging, cheers James.
  22. Bought a couple of basses off Dave in one of the easiest distance sales I've done. Dave was an absolute pleasure to work with the entire time, comms were friendly, quick and thorough throughout. Did me a great deal on two axes, a pickup and a bridge, and went so far above and beyond with the packaging it's not even funny. Like, I'm pretty autistic thorough when it comes to sending guitars through the mail but Dave went even further than I would - both guitars were compress-wrapped with bubble wrap into containers (the original box and a hard case), which were then further compress-wrapped into larger boxes. There must have been a good 2-3 inches of bubble wrap and at least 2 double-walled cardboard sleeves between the outside world and the axes themselves; they would probably have survived a direct missile strike, the lads in the Parcelforce warehouse had no chance of making a dent lol. He put up with my barrage of nitpicky questions with good grace and put a lot of time and effort into the transaction that he absolutely did not need to, I'm beyond impressed. And the guitars are great too, cheers Dave!
  23. It's got some old school cool for sure. Maybe a little basic / no frills by modern standards but if you want that 80s - 90s hard rock thump it's got you covered. And standing in front of a Marshall stack (even one that's only just over four feet tall lol) never gets old.
  24. Yeah, these are mint. You can get a zillion sounds out of them, and even if you don't fancy fiddling with the software the stock ones are all great. The desktop / laptop software is much easier to use than the phone app, but that's down to how many things there are to configure - it's difficult to fit all the options onto the smaller screen of a phone.
