1. Watch this space , bump. Edit, Quick look in the Wanted section and both Woolf and BassGurumonster were looking for one.
2.
Yeah I know, but were numerous threads on this years ago on RickResource - they do get a little hot under the collar about it. The twin truss-rods is just one of the things to look for. Simlarily a real Rick doesn't have binding around the back of the bridge area, there were at least a couple more that I don't remember; the real [s]anals[/s] experts on it could tell from the shape of the top horn & the headstock.
And the shape of the string holes on the bridge . Edit, shouldn't this be moved to Rickenfakers
3. I think this was bought from Rumble last year, who bought it from Andy Travis the year before. Despite going back through both threads cant quite fathom out what the pups are, so sorry, tried but I was no help . I keep wanting to buy this every time it comes up, but having just got a Rick copy, timing has buggered me. Good luck, Karl.
4. And this, or one almost exactly the same, has been for sale on and off since at least last autumn.
5. You might want to try PM, he's been offline since 13th March. Fairly sure he's on tour with Marseilles. Good luck,
6. As well as Basschat, you have the local options on Gumtree, Preloved and to a lesser extent, Northwest bands. Most things on the local sections of the site should be easily close enough to go and have a look/play. For example, a month or so back, on both Manchester and Liverpoll Gumtree, there was a stunning, natural Fender Deluxe Precision at a very reasonable £600. Wish I'd bought the bugger now . The hardest and most important factor is PATIENCE . Good luck, Karl.
7. Check the Myspace link below, one of our guitards plus the drummer are both "lifelong Evertonians" . And it's a last bump from him
8.
The body may be gone, but the spirit and legend will live on.
Amen to that
9.
The back of the bridge where the binding on that one goes all the way around? It'd be easy enough to take a pic of the twin trussrods to prove it's genuine, without that pesky TRC getting in the way anyway.
Some Fakers have twin truss rods, my CMI did
10. Yeah, he was an active member on here just long enough to put up his advert
11. Now get it bought so Jon can buy somebody else's Berg . Bump.
12. Top class fella me lad, transactions just don't come any easier thanks Derrick. Highly recommended. Cheers, Karl.
13. Hello and welcome back Ian. You've certainly come to the right place to catch up, the knowledge, experience and sharing on here is incredible. One warning, beware the GAS . Believe me, you will come to fear it. Enjoy bud, Karl.
14. Some say he is called Beardy Sev. All I know is that it was an extremely easy transaction and he should be know as a recommended person . Enjoy Sev, cheers, Karl.
15.
That is very, very nice and probably my ideal cab. Pity i have 2off AE112 although it would be a nice match and would look great in a classic rock band me thinks. Fantastic price too. I paid more than that for one Berg AE112. Whow If the boss ok's it i now have to decide whether to go for an Ampeg SVT3 PRO or this Berg cab - Aaaaahhh nightmare stress levels. Cheers Dave
There are always SVT3 PROs available, but Bergs, well....... (and Penrith's just down the road from both of us, sort of) Holland, you really got to factor in pretty big courier and insurance costs. A lot of interest from offshore surprisingly. Thanks for the bumps though guys, cheers, Karl.
16. Further PM's replied. Sorry guys, not going abroad unless you organise your own courier/insurance. That WILL cost. Cheers, Karl.
17.
I wish it was sunburst! Bye, bye the wife.
Harsh but fair kinda bump
18. Oh Lordy, soiled underwear
19. This has been up for sale since before Christmas. I get the impression the guy bought it in good faith but it's turned out to be a bit dubious. I only live 6 miles from him, keep thinking about going round to have a look. It really COULD be genuine or he could have been had. Mind, it's Leigh, he's a big lad, don't think I'd go in without a wire and back up! Edit, knew I'd seen it here as well as FEEBay, Guntree and Preshagged. http://basschat.co.uk/topic/167798-rickenbacker-4001-mapleglo-1970s/page__hl__rickenbacker__fromsearch__1
20. We've got a Tigra (and a van) but it's only got 2 seats. I dont want to think how you did it .
21. PM's replied, sorry guys all I would look at in trade is EBS NEO, 4ohms, 210, 212 or 410. They must be pretty much immaculate as well. Bergs are top class(wasted on me) and seem to rarely come up. They usually go pretty quick as well. I think that going by BBM'S 212 I have priced this as a little bit of a relative bargain. I will give it a week or so on here then it will be off to FEEBay at £500 start and colection only. Just spent an hour packing the HT115, don't really even want to attempt this one . Karl.
22. Stunning , mind it would have to be some P to be worth more than that. Karl.
23. I get in trouble without even trying (and it was only a tenner)
