Cheers Ash. I'm also thinking ebony board and 62'RI stackpots not right as I didn't think the first 62 RI's were until late 80's?
-
Very tempted by this but something doesn't ring true. Any thoughts please? Cheers, Karl. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/130933892252?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

So how do I list something for sale then?
karlfer replied to stingrayPete1977's topic in General Discussion
I assume you create a new topic in the For Sale section and it will walk you through the process
This. -
Geezer, the personification of 'deadpan'. It's a nice bass but I don't really get the striped pickguard.
Yup, he was brilliant in that interview

Calming down a bit, I guess I could source a pickguard like that (Bass Doc hopefully). I can very probably get similar inlay/headstock stickers from CC in the States. I have a black Skyline Glaub with Fralin, as a weekend warrior of only 45 ish gigs per year, I can't afford or justify a US Lakky. The Skylines are superb anyway.

Graham. no idea apart from the cosmetics. Dingus, I have an email received from Lakland this afternoon. No plans, period, for a Skyline.

I love Lakland basses. I have waited 30 years for a Geezer signatue model. Lakland are doing one. US spec only at mega bucks. No Skyline for us weekend warriors.
James Jamerson - p bass Norman watt Roy - j bass I regard to Steve Harris' sig, wasn't his number 1 sparkly blue at some point in the past? Also I would think it would sell more in blue sparkle than with a flippin west ham logo on it
I'm going to put a Newcastle sticker on my black/white/maple Glaub -
Fumps, think we are cross purposes. I'll ignore the sarcasm font if you don't mind I am more than happy that the sales fora fees are going to help keep the site running AND DEVELOPING. Whichever way funding is brought about, some folk will be unhappy. At least with this way people are not getting charged a membership for all the other areas that we have. I don't decry the charging system, merely pointed out, like many others have pointed out, that some are unhappy with paying up front to place an advert for an item that may not sell. I think that is more a reason for some folk to be cautious. I am such a mind changing gear tart I had no choice but to happily fork out my £20.

Custom Gold Anodised Pickguard - Where From? NOW SORTED.
karlfer replied to xilddx's topic in General Discussion
I made a mirror plate from the original white one, covered with what is basically sticky back plastic. A Stanley knife and 15 minutes and I was done. Can't find a "flat" gold sticky back plastic though!. When I sold the bass, I took the mirror effect sticky back plastic off. No residue, good as new. Steve Harris, white P, mirror plate, Hammers sticker. Why on earth his sig is blue is beyond me. (notice, no comment on the R bomb?, oops, I just did). -
WOT, not everybody spends more than £20 in a weekend in the pub. The only time I go to the pub is when I'm gigging. It was an Englishman's right to go to the pub for centuries, but it is now the wealthy Englishman's right. Risingson, second hand may be slow everywhere, however my last three items have brought only interest on here. All three were on hold within a couple of days of going on Bumtree. Conan, bit naughty fella, glad you have changed your mind a bit. Fumps, as we all know, FEEBay only charge after you have sold, not before. On a wider note, the fee was introduced on the sales fora, however, it was, in my understanding, to benefit the whole site? Karl.
