thats like, the fourth JP that has come onto these forums, and the 2nd 7 string.
JP produced some of my favorite basses (looks wise, never played one), maby one day, when i have a couple of g to spare, i'll own one.

i haven't been on that site since i first started playing bass (probably 6/7 years), i used to visit it every time i went online because i was in awe of the slapping (i hadn't learnt how to do it by then).
not only is it suprising thats it's the same music after all those years. but to hear something that had such an effect on me, but until now had completely forgot about was a very nice suprise. thank you

thats a tough one. i don't really approach my playing that way. sure there are bass players i like, but it doesn't relate to my playing. i don't connect the two, i just sort of 'play', with as little literal thinking as possible.

these guys are from a film, a trillogy in fact. i've seen the first one, and it's bloomin fantastic! but i can't for the life of me remember the name of the film... anyone know??

problem - having to bring your amp/preamp to the recording studio (an extra thing to place, and plug in)
problem - not being able to get [i]your[/i] sound at a gig, because your using a supplied backline.
