1. i know how you feel. bought and sold mine for £75. desperatly want it back. told this story more times than i actually used the pedal (which was a lot..)
2. that looks like a great piece of work. would the constant loading/unloading of tension on the strings kill them quicker?
3. Sorry to be a pedantic bar-steward, but if you arrive with something you brought, if you purchased something you bought it. again sorry, but it's one of my bigger pet peeves
4. wickid, gives me a chance to get the money
5. apart from my first ever amp (a trace elliot comando 15), i've bought everything blind, basses included. Peavey, Sansamp, Glockenklang, Schroeder, Euphonic Audio, Hartke and Tecamp (overwater, shuker, mtd for basses) are makes i remember owning, all bought without trying... funnily enough i was thinking about this but half an hour ago and, on contemplation, have come to the conclusion that it is a factor i quite enjoy, and given the option (i started because of the difficulty getting to gear to try it) i think i would stick to it. people enjoy their GAS, i enjoy my blind buying
6. That, my friend, holds the key to the universe. (it also automatically turns on and plays a cd at a pre-determined time each morning )
7. i know i want it. if my combo sells before this goes i'll be having it!
8. Having sold my Hartke/Schroeder rig to fund an extension cab for this i did a gig with one of my bands (a thrash/math metal band) last night and, unsurprisingly, the 1x12 cab just doesn't exert the authority this music requires, and regardless of the extension i'm just not 100% happy with it in this setting. This would be a downside i could happily live with as the amp exceeds itself in every other setting i use it in. having a stupidly small, lightweight combo that sounds so sublime and is able to comfortably cut it with a drummer is something i've only ever dreamed of. but unfortunatly (depending on how you look at it) the metal band is picking up steam, it's already become my main band and the gigs are getting bigger and more frequent so if i have to focus on one side, looks like this is going to have to be it. My ideal here would be to trade it with someone for a puma head. but failing that, a TC Rebelhead or Genz Benz Shuttle would also spark my interest. maby even an Orange Bass Terror... lol For a sale price i'd be looking for £800 EDIT: There is a TC amp for sale here for £700, so i'd be willing to accept that much while it's still for sale. but if that goes then the price will be back up to £800
9.
My new rig is now complete i won't be able to gig it tonight as I'm waiting for a protective cover for the cab and I need to order a trolley for moving it up and down stairs. I'll probably use the amp and take my trace 1518 tonight
very nice!
10. met to sell my schroeder cab to. good communication and a smooth, trouble free transaction occured
11. used one of these between my OLP bass and amp and the difference it made was astonishing! tightened up the sound and added a focussed punch that defies it's simplicity. never tried it with a mike though..
12. anyone with side by side experience of any of these cabs?
13. possibly interested in the schroeder, but still looking at options
14. never really got on with Trace gear, had a couple of bits and have often played through them as a backline, though not played the newer stuff. EA are on the list, but they are one of the brands that market pure, flat response, 'get out what you put in' sorta sound. i've gone down that road a few times and it's not really what i'm after on this occasion. looking for something marketed for character rather than clean. Barefaced are also on the list, but require more watts than i have available to give them. A tecamp 1x12 is obviously what i want, but at nearly £200 more than what i paid for the combo, even if i could afford it i don't think i could justify it! additions to the 1x15 catagory are GK 115SBX - high sensitivity and low freq. response. and i like the GK sound Orange OBC-115 - don't know the figures of this, nothing on the orange website.. but certainly LOOKS like a nice cab..
15. this is my second schroeder cab, this being a 1212L, the first being a 1210R. absolutely fantastic cabs, but mines on it's way out to fund an extension cab.. very sorry to see it go, and don't think anyone i know would be suprised if i got another one somewhere down the line. the voicing of them suits me down to the ground!
16. Both provisionally sold!
17. In having a look round the ole internet today, i'm amazed at how few 15's there are these days.. anyway, the bagend is the only 15 thats come to my attention so far. any other ideas anyone? fighting in the 12's corner at the moment are: EDEN D112XLT - on paper, this seems to be ticking all the boxes, high sensitivity, low freq. response and the tone description seems to fit the bill. anyone with real-world experience with this cab? Bergantino EX112ER - on paper, this seems to fall short of the Eden on sensitivity and freq. response, i guess the only reason i'm looking at this is user hype. anyone out there ever had a direct comparison with this and the eden? Aguilar GS112NT - on paper, this falls short of both the Eden and Berg on sensitivity and freq. resopnse, but if anything beats them both on the number of apparent satified users. just get the feeling that it would be a bit too.. 'polite' (?) for me opinions? experience? ideas?

haven't had gas for a pedal in a while, but... ooff!
19. Right, Hartke LH500 sold, pending the usual. Some more detailed pics of Schroeder as requested this is the largest chip in the cab shows how thin the rhino "tuff" finish is the wedge on the inner baffle the "worst side" of the cab the rest of it looks much cleaner
20. OMG, you have bagends for sale?! you have pm
21. My tecamp combo does focussed low-mids, punchy mids and crispy sweet highs. so i want the new cab to do everything else (ie, fill out the sound ) so i'm looking for a cab who's noted attributes include: -a rich and focussed low end with a bit of attitude -a competent air mover -High sensitivity, good volume for watts (the combo will be putting out 350w into both speakers) -no more than £350.. attributes i'm not interested in: -no need for anything amazing in the upper mids to highs (no neet for tweeter) -size and weight not an issue (withing reason, not looking for a fridge!) was originally thinking of going for a 1x12 cab but now think a a sensitive 15" will be more suitable. so, what springs to mind?
