  1. That's nearly the answer the trick here is to borrow loads of gear. store the extra very important band kit for a few days and then arrange for the other band members to look after it and share the burden of kit storage. give the the gear back to where you borrowed it from and everyone's happy
  2. He would have to wait till she's finished cleaning it first .
  3. Don't go using all the words up , leave some for everyone else I'll let this one settle for a couple of days , I haven't seen my way in yet 🤔
  4. Well done Mornats , another quality tune
  5. I'm surprised I haven't seen one yet so I'll start a great weekend of shows in places that you wouldn't normally associate with such big exposure i haven't seen all of it by any means but first impressions Florence nailed it , great show Taylor swift , excellent , even started a song in the wrong key , I bet that hurt as her set seemed so rehearsed , still brilliant though I couldn't relate some of the sound to the singing , but still, I couldn't do it billy ocean brilliant despite the really off putting hair the BBC orchestra sounded excellent on the radio 3 stage Nigel Kennedy ....not for me, seemed to lose control of his pedal board , with mark king looking uncomfortable and typically busy , and destroying some Hendrix paloma faith , meh , I think I'd like to like her stuff , but I can't ! Liam Gallagher , couldn't watch it , started with Rock and roll star , and really wasn't, maybe he got better ? Has anyone else seen anything worthy of comment ?
  6. Surely you mean tw@ ch@
  7. How's about a forum for various parts of a curry menu ...chicken chat chat I'll get my coat then ....
  8. We all leave the gig at the same time , we all pitch in , the cash isn't shared till we are ready to go . for 1 of the band to spend 10 minutes showing some respect seems a no brainer to us . Some jobs take more effort than humping PA and lights if you've not done it before
  9. Don't start you lot, you'll have Dad looking for drumchat before you know it
  10. It always thought it sounded a bit unsure of itself when I tried to learn it , and as the band couldn't agree what it was supposed to sound like ....... we didn't bother
  11. Me and/or the drummer often do a bit of mingling after the last song , it lets the punters and the landlord know you are interested and sows the seeds for recall before you hold your hand out for the cash 👍
  12. When you start a post with a comment about carrying drums in a frog eye sprite , it's probably only dads bond bug that can beat it i have always had access to vans , boring , but historically accurate , and very convenient to boot
  13. Probably as Skol has set the poll up he would need to amend it and as he hasn't clocked your tag , he is probably busy doing family stuff , by all means post your tune , and we can work out whether the voting poll can be edited when he logs in
  14. A new venue for us last night , the old red lion in little Sutton , a proper music pub and well looked after , plenty of sockets , extension cables, lighting rig and a couple of electric fans for us ! we have been trying to get a gig there for quite a few years , but they book a year up and it is almost a closed shop. we took a cancellation and stormed it , we set up at 6.30 which meant they could put the match on, as the big screen is on the stage area, ok, the match result didn't go as hoped but the place stayed very busy , we will be asked to fill in more this year and will be on the booking roster next year , result a 15 minute drive home , with the sky lighting up in the distance it was quite surreal
  15. I get that totally , I think I'd be similar , while I might not seek the band out , I would certainly stay a while if we were on in a pub I walked into. I think our singer carries a lot of it he has lovely tone and tune , we effectively support him , but FFS don't tell him
  16. In general , while the gist is that you can vote for your favourite three , some make a call that they have a favourite and will single that out for their vote . Either is good , I tend to find a way of identifying my favourite three , but each to their own
  17. Skolmeister , the poll time says it closes at 22:59 and I can't find the buttons to edit it buddy
  18. I'm not so sure , I know a fair few youngsters that have bikes , but they don't do the hairy arsed bike 'scene' if you will. They enjoy a party but not necessarily the stereotypical hog, classic or Brit type thing
  19. We had a blast tonight , we took a cancellation at a new (to us) venue . Two 45 minute sets , start at 9.15 and finish by 11.00 . The hardest part of the gig was what to leave out, as the amount of time we had meant we had to lose 45 minutes from our normal set !! The gig went great and we reckon we'll get 3 or 4 gigs a year from the venue. One thing that we all noticed, was that we normally only ever do 1 gig a weekend as we put in a lot of effort , well, singist does, and a 'short' gig like this would enable double headers no problem , onwards and upwards 👍

    What midi?

I use a 5pin din /USB adaptor and latency has never been an issue plugged straight in.
  21. Dean Friedman , lucky stars . The only reason to thank them would be if the radio wasn't in a thousand pieces after a kicking off the scaffold if it got played !
  22. That's all well and good , but did you all do Lois Griffin
  23. I reckon you should buy a couple Mick , put them in a box under your bed for a couple or three years and then offer them in the marketplace
  24. It was about 15 miles for the first 5 years , but the rehearsal rooms near me, now have the drummer and singist coming my way, and as it saves them bringing , setting up , breaking down and unloading. A 2 hour rehearsal now gets 2 hours playing. 2 miles max from me 👍👍
