It seems like a bit of a short month this time but with December next week, I guess it's time to get voting! Just a quick note regarding December, it will, as tradition, be a cover song challenge, any cover you have recorded over the year will also be welcome. As per usual, I have had all year to think of a cover to do, but have not yet decided! Anyway back to business... The Inspiration for November was chosen by last month's worthy winner @SH73 who offered us .... "Something futuristic" So please use your 3 Votes to pick your faves from the following... 1 @AndyTravis Its a holding track , I think ( Lurks) 2 @Dad3353 Just keep going. Don't look up, keep your eyes down and try to look natural... 3 @Boodang The image reminds me a of the game Bio Shock. With that in mind this is the result. 4 Lurksalot We had grand little Lurks over last weekend , and he played the piano for a while , when I say played, we set the soundscape, I hit the record button, and he had some fun making a lot of the noises. It was ideally a soundtrack for one of our 'expeditions' in a star wars kind of way, but I did a bit of cutting and restructuring and I thought it fitted this quite well, if a little dark. 5 @Leonard Smalls I got to thinking about a certain type of person for whom the future is only acceptable if it stays exactly the same as the present, hence a ditty about some bloke who won't never grow up. 6 @Wolfram The soundtrack to a carefully-planned and executed mission to rescue the Princess and her people. Channelling a little Vangelis maybe, and segueing into a full-on dance track, I present "Follow Me"! 7 @MoonBassAlpha I got a strong Blade Runner Vibe from the pic, so there's a bit of that ambient element, but then I DO enjoy bashing the drums too 8 @sammybee the 4 in the foreground look like they are heading home after a heavy night in the club as the sun rises.. 9 @upside downer Get me out of the Paranoid City, where the trees are scorched and the living is gritty, oh, won't you please take me home? A wary and weary band of cyberpunks plot their route through the mean streets where fear, suspicion and mistrust rule. 10 @fingers211 At some time in the future, (actually it's 18 minutes after the Rush album), if you have a thought of your own or one deemed to be out of the collective, then a blue light glows round your head only seen by the "Thought Spotters" . Once spotted, you're escorted out the city gate !! 11 @BabyBlueSound Halloween is long gone, but the Post-Halloween Prowl is still on! A close run challenge for October, but rising to the top in the final throws came @SH73 with a great entry. As is his privilege, nay, honour, he has offered up the following for your inspiration. Tripehound told me his song was pretty much written before the start of the month, though recorded this month. That is why it's not in the voting thread, though I'm hoping he will join in due course.

there have been some great strides into Autumn with the witching month and the horrors of Halloween! After a great win from @MoonBassAlpha in September he offered us the following for our inspiration. Hope this is seasonally appropriate and gets the creative juices flowing" This has of course resulted in the usual set of eclectic entries which are all well worth a listen and vote. however, just choose your favourite 3 from the following 1 @Dad3353 I took a wrong turning and left The Path. Clouds formed, and a chill wind whispered to me. She came closer... 2 @Boodang Desolate, haunting and isolation are the themes that come across for me in the picture and ones that inspired this melancholy, and hopefully atmospheric, piece. 3 @AndyTravis I’ve sat in my pyjamas with coffee doing this today. The dogs are looking at me funny. 4 @Leonard Smalls I felt that the rather spooky image deserved my rather jaunty cover of Spandau Ballet's classic. here is my entry based on the picture chosen by last months winners, MoonBassAlpha. I went for the obvious, well it was to me, these people need new windows! the main riff was on my little 'Fleabass' through a waves Bass app that doubled up the guitar part, then various synths found on garageband stuck on top , vocals by yours truly, disguised with some formant shifting in Reaper, Polished ( ) with a bit of OZone 8 lyrics if you like that sort of thing ....

This looks like a popular month , excellent , welcome to you all . I have had an idea , I hope it works out , it’s just getting it done in time could be the issue here 😁

Played a gig in chester one evening and Paul Reynolds was present , the landlord asked if he could join us for a tune , we played Dakota and Paul was going mental on rhythm guitar’s 12 string , it was painful for Ian, watching his guitar being thraped , but it was all in good order after the event. A bit surreal nevertheless !

No probs , the deadline is mainly so I can format the voting thread without too much messing , as long as you post before I’ve got too involved with that , it’s all cool 👍
