  1. Personally, I like through neck, but owned & played bolt-neck, set-neck as well as through neck.
  2. Yes, everything depends on the available budget. Although Helix is excellent, it isn't exactly cheap. If you can afford the LT or the full fat Helix, then go for it. If you can't quite stretch to those, then HX Stomp or HX Stomp XL would be a good choice. But, if the budget's a bit less, then the the POD Go is a fabulous wee thing, definitely a great choice.
  3. Hole in my Shoe - Neil (or Traffic)
  4. KD Lang - Constant Craving (sounds like Can't Stand Gravy)
  5. Stealth 4003.
  6. Snowblind - Black Sabbath
  7. Shows you how much I know about Wal's.
  8. That walnut faced Wal looks ace.
  9. Very nice bass indeed. Was never a fan of slap, but the Jaydee's are ace looking basses. Enjoy.
  10. Roller - Ian Gillen
  11. Bashir with the Good Beard - Lady Parts
  12. There was a documentary on iPlayer a while back, about a Blues venue in London that was on an island in the Thames. The entry fee was a toll to cross the footbridge. Apparently, Brock & Clapton were mates at school, and Clapton still owes Brock a guitar for one he ruined while they were kids when they decided to swim across to the island.
  13. Pride (In The Name of Love) - U2
  14. Is the sound quality too bassy/boomy in other venues / rehearsal room / etc.? If the bass is too boomy, maybe look at your pickup height rather than pulling your rig apart. Drop the pickup height on the bass side, maybe raise it a little on the treble side.
  15. Rickenbacker 4003.
  16. I recall buying a Vintage RAT in the late 90's. IIRC, they discontinued it in mid 2000's in favour of the other flavour RAT's they were doing at the time. When I sold it, I recall breaking even even on it, but it was boxed and in good condition. Looking at the condition of the enclosure in the pic, it does look somewhat "roadworn".
  17. Hungry Like the Wolf - Durran Durran
  18. I remember going to see them on this tour too...
  19. Again, whatever the maker of the bass recommends, however, if you ask for a de-tuner/extender, then they should take that into account when sourcing the tuners.
  20. Communication Breakdown - Percy & Friends
  21. Tempted.
  22. Was thinking the same too. Any ideas on how much?
  23. Only just noticed that the last 2 sets of D'Addario's I bought are actually Nickel Wound EXL165's instead of my usual Pro Steel EPS165. These are un-opened, and never fitted strings. Long scale, 45-105. £16 each set, inc. postage to UK addresses.
  24. The Fall of Because - Killing Joke
